I know most of you probably don't post outside of this forum but I was told that because of a small members list at my forum people are more unlikely to sign up. Do any of you have time to just sign up at my forum? You don't have to post anything, just sign up to make the members list look a little bit bigger. Thanks I really appreciate this.

sigh...I'm trying my best but no one's interested in my board. Well...the first one was a bummer. I had 540 different threads, one for each course offered. But unfortunately it took my dsl like a whole minute to load. So I thought people would like it if it was smaller. But nope...

Hey man, give it at least a week. You can't turn a newly established forum into a bandwidth monster overnight.

Just chill. New boards take a long time to get off the ground. Especially stand alone boards. This board was relatively unique in that it had plenty of members thanks to it's connections to ASVS and Spacebattles.com.

what I'm not giving off chill vibes? :D

Anyways can't chill, too much. Too much work to do. Oh well forget about my forum then. I guess none of you guys would find it useful unless you live here, and happened to need used university textbook. Thanks for coming out, and extra thanks for several of you who signed up.

Haven't been here long enough to know. AFAIK Ein made it up, but he could of course just have gotten it from some other place...

Well sometimes I miss things like this. I've seen it used plenty of times, just didn't bother clarifying it. :)

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is from military code-- phonetic codes, the first letter of the word stands for a corresponding letter in the alphabet.

Read down the margin, and Behold:

Alpha
Bravo
Charlie
Delta
Echo
Foxtrot
Golf
Hotel
India
Juliet
Kilo
Lima
Mike
November
Oscar
Papa
Quebec
Romeo
Sierra
Tango
Uniform
Victor
Whiskey
Xray
Yankee
Zulu
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

I am surprised at how many people don't know the NATO phonetic alphabet.

Anyhoo, this look like spam to anyone else?

It's standard military jargon. Like a lot of other military jargon, "Whisky Tango Foxtrot" has made it into the mainstream civilian community. It is based on the military phoenetic alphabet, which is supposed to be used over radio:

alpha, bravo, charlie, delta, echo, foxtrot, golf, hotel, india, juliet, kilo, lima, mike, november, oscar, papa, quebec, romeo, sierra, tango, uniform, victor, whiskey, x-ray, yankee, zulu

Eh, now you all know the phoenetic alphabet.
