I cant believe that no one has mentioned this one yet:

The commercials from the mid-90s. It opens with a shot of a fleet of Star Destroyers. Cut to Darth Vader kneeling before the holo-image of the Emperor. Emperor says: " We have a new enemy." Darth Vader replies "I will destroy him." Cut to Bespin Carbon Freeze Chamber. Vader stands at the ready, the hatch, and you hear "Boom Boom Boom Boom" as the Energizer Bunny appears. Vader activates his lightsaber, takes a few swings. Vader says "Impresive" as the bunny dodges. Then the lightsaber grows dim and shuts off. Surprised, Vader shakes the lightsaber, but it wont activate, so what does he do, he checks the batteries. They're Generic! Cue "Nothing outlasts the Energizer. It keeps going and going and going..."

STCHOP! My last reply is not ready yet! I completely forgot about the excellent John Smith's adverts with Peter Kaye in them.

All of them are brilliant but the one i can quote that will make sense easiest is the cupboard monster one:

<Talking to little daughter>"What's that? Your scared of the cupboard monsters? You don't want to worry about them ... It's the burglars that come through your window, that's what you want to be scared of."

Because of these adverts, " 'Ave-it" has become a commonly used phrase in our house!
