I highly doubt it, and I intend to put off not finding out (since, if you're just gone when you die, you don't get to find out that there's no afterlife) for as long as possible. We're already making progress cloning most organs. Here's hoping we figure out how to regrow neurons. If so, we could all live a long ass time. If not, well, I try to eat right and exercise, so at least there's that. :)

I think sleep is much like our after-life. Blank as the abyss with not a single thought floating around.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I remain open about the afterlife...however, i think it may be one of a micture of things;

your body decomposes and you return back to the universe you were only seperated by perception, possibly gaining ultimate perception of everything in the universe, or experiencing just "being" without any consciousness or anything.

Eventually, you will become parts of other living organisms and perhaps you will share their existence, "be" them, without knowing you were ever a part of a human, or, all your experiences could contribute to something greater, something only the universe could hope to understand.

The reduction / extension of the self into the everything else may indeed feel like bliss, or extreme pain...i have no idea, i am more inclined to believe it probably wouldn't feel like anything other than unconsciousness, imperceptible, truly living in the moment everywhere simultaneously.

But if you asked me in the street i would have said "who knows".

Death is a fool's game, and I'll have nothing do do with it! (guess the quote, win a cookie)

If I should fail to defeat the undefeatable, I would be pleasantly surprised if some form of reincarnation took place. One way or the other, I just want to see what humanity is capable of.

Perhaps the after-life is nothing more than what you make it? When you die perhaps your soul, consciousness, or whatever you want to call it simply does what you believe should happen. If you believe that death is nothing than an eternal sleep, than there you go. If you believe that you become a free-roaming, omniscient entity thats alright too. Personally, Id like to be a ghost. Being able to mess with peoples heads and scare the shit out of them sounds like fun, especially if I could cause mayhem on a city size scale :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Either that or I would turn into one of theseImage

Yes I do. I hope it is as I've read in the Bible, but I know I can't truly fathom how it will be.

One moment of perfect, complete and timeless understanding, percieving the entire multidimensional space/time universe and the small but significant thread that you occupied within it's tapestry - all questions answered, all mysteries solved - before you return to wherever information goes when it has served its purpose.

In other words: "Ah, no wonder. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz."
