well, give her back Liv Tyler.
The Liv Tyler/Arwen one was pretty nice but I needed a change...so I swiped his since it was quite pretty and it seemed to be just sitting there crying out for a new owner. And now it's found a new home where it's loved more... :D

Robert Treder wrote:Oh, and Frank, your avatar always makes me think of a Dune character. Not any one in specific, just Dune characters in general. I guess actually a member of House Atreides if I have to be specific.
You've explained who it is before (some Admiral IIRC), but that doesn't change the fact that I always think of him as someone from Dune. I guess it's because you like Dune (duh).

That said, your avatar kicks ass.
Thank you very, very much! :D
The Dune feel comes from the comic opera uniform, and he's Vice Admiral Franz Ritter von Hipper, hence "Frank Hipper".
And your avatars always rock, as well, Mr. Treder!

Beowulf, your location says "50 miles west of San Jose". Is that San Jose, Costa Rica or something? Because 50 miles west of San Jose, CA is by all accounts in the Pacific Ocean.

Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, commander of the 20th Maine. The 20th Maine held the Union extreme left flank on Little Round Top, at the Battle of Gettysburg. Little Round Top was a key hill in the Union defensive position, and the confederates assaulted it relentlessly. As chamberlain's men were running low on ammunition, he ordered a bayonet charge that took the rebels completely by surprise and drove them from the hill, saving the union position.

I am quite aware of the fact the San Jose, CA is in the Pacific Ocean. I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice. Seems to have been approximately 9 months...

I noticed quite a while ago, considering I basically live in San Jose, CA. But I never got around to asking you.
