Abe Vigoda was at my university. He did a plug for our TV show. I didn't actually meet him though.

Where to start....
Bruce Campbell, MOC. Have pictures of him running away from a transvestite.
John Rhys Davies, DragonCon. He's damn cool!
Mark Leonard, StellarCon. It was about a year before he passed away. Really nice man.
John de Lancie, generic ST con. He really is shy!
Denise Crosby, CreationCon. Very friendly.
Alexandra Tydings, DragonCon. Man, is she short!
Claudia Christianson (sp?), DragonCon. Personable
KJA and Rebecca (his wife), DragonCon. He really is proud of himself
Aaron Allston, Tim Zahn, Mike Stackpole, DragonCon/StellarCon. These guys are great. Tim is REALLY quiet. I've had lunch with them several times.
Robert Aspirin, DragonCon. The man is amazing.
Anthony Daniels, DragonCon. Actually kinda arrogant.
Kenny Baker, DragonCon. Great guy!
Peter Mayhew, DragonCon. Sweet!
David Prowse, DragonCon. He is THE man!
Elvira, DragonCon. psst, she's a Redhead.
Peter David, DragonCon. That man is a RIOT!
Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, DragonCon. Margaret is nice and Tracy is kinda shy.
Shannon Baska, several cons. Really nice and VERY skinny
Warwick Davis, Baltimore Con. He's wonderful.

There are a ton more, but I can't remember names right off hand. I'll look when I get home.

Met Natalie Portman while visiting Harvard for a swim meet, was in the same swimclub as model Estella Warren, bumped into Raine Maida while rollerblading and chatted with him a bit, along with his lovely wife Chantal Kreviazuk. Oh yes, and Danny Glover after he did his speech thing at Princeton a few years back.

Not counting rock concerts (because I didn't actually meet them)...

I was at a helicopter trade show in Las Vegas and the actor from Home Alone (the annoying hotel owner in home alone 2) came to our booth. That's about it. Harrison Ford was supposidly at the same show but I couldn't track him down.

My friend met Sandra Bulloch (lucky bastard) at a ski hill in Quebec (he worked there). I get a loser actor from Home Alone, he gets the actress I had the biggest crush on at the time... ;)

A variety...

My personal faves:

-Harlan Ellison...grouchy but very witty man.
-Peter David...funny guy, cute daughter(the youngest is the one I've met)
-Neil Gaiman...accent but funny, but quiet man
-J. Michael Strawzinski(god only know his proper spelling)...determined but has some great private stories.
-Todd McFarlane...not a personal fave of mine but the man is very forthright.
-Shigeru Miyamoto...shook his hand at E3 many years ago. Got a picture somewhere of me and him.

and whole boatload of other(Sergio Argones, George Perez, and slew of comic book personalities)
MM /CF/WG/BOTM/JL/Original Warsie/ACPATHNTDWATGODW FOREVER!!

Well, if we're counting comic artists/writers, then I can add a bunch of those. Peter David was the funniest, he signed a bunch of stuff, then nobody went to go see him, so he spent most of the day reading his own book.

Pornstar Stacey Valentine at an adult erotica show, she's got big tits.

Nikki Tyler and Jenna Jameson at a strip club after they did their hot lesbian act on stage, almost creamed my pants there talking to them while staring at their breasts.

Pornstar Taylor Hayes while she was doing a hot stripping nurse act at a strip club. I hopped on stage with money in hand and had her do naughty things to me. I had my face in her tits good! :D

Others, singer babes Sarah Slean, Tori Amos, Damhnait Doyle, and Chantal Kreviazuk, all of whom I've hugged but Chantal's the only one who's kissed me.

I got pissed with Bono in Dublin once, I also met Tim Wheeler, lead singer of the band ash. I met lots of Northern Irish politicians when i worked up in the goverment offices. I once met the entire Glasgow Rangers Football club but only while begging for autographs. I've shook the hand of the best footballer in the world George Best. He signed the page of his autobiography where he's photopraphed with Pele, the caption is Me and the the second best footballer in the world.

I got invited to Senator Herb Kohl's (D-Wisconsin) birthday party, and had dinner once with Senator Russ Feingold (D-Wisconsin).

I literally ran into Matthew McCaughnahay in a men's restroom at La Guardia.

Wisconsin Badger Football head coach Barry Alvarez used to be my next door neighboor.

I've shaken hands with Bill Clinton (twice!)
Chatted with Robert Jordan for about half an hour
Met Bill Nye the Science Guy about four times
Penn and Teller taught me some cool juggling tricks
Hung out with the American ambassador to England, the mayor of Salt Lake City, and senator Tom Lantos.
Eaten dinner with Billy Crystal,
And gone to school with Whitney Houston's daughter.

Walked past Brad Freidel ( afootball player) in an airport.
That's it for me.

My dad on the other hand has met loads as he used to be a policeman. He's met various members of the royal family (he was an inspector so whenever one of them came to visit the city he was always in the greet and handshake line) and when he was lower down in the force he was an escort for some singer, i think it was one of the Three Tops or something like that, some old girl group from the 70's or 80's.

Yep. On my wall, I have pictures with James Randi (a personal hero of mine), Jay Leno (ran into him in Burbank and got pictures), Dr. Drew Pinsky (he spoke at my university), and I have one standing with Elvis' band from the 1970's.

Terry Pratchett knows me by sight (almost)

He told me Debi was a nice try, but not very goth, so now he always dedicates my books to Debi with an x.

Steve Jones lectured me in the first year.

Rob, on the other hand, used to work at Planet Hollywood:

Bruce Willis;
Britney Spears;
The entire cast of the Fast Show
George Lucas;
ummm... mind's gone blank. Shitloads of A lists, anyway.

and recently, Jimmy Page came in to his current workplace, while Brian May was outside debating whether or not to come in.

I saw Mark Summers (of Double Dare fame) at a David Copperfield show before

OOOHHH YEEEAAAH
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Discussed Honor Harrington with David Weber back when it was only two books.
played games run by Steve Jackson several times, have watched my parents trade filk with him for gaming books, promptly finagled ownership of gaming books
Met Jerry Doyle(Garibaldi) at a dance party and illegally smoking a cigar in a hotel bathroom(him, not me)
Have seen the cast of Riverdance crash the dance party at Arisia one year and put on an impromptu demo
have bought books off of Phil Foglio personally and had him sign them
Bumped into too many media celebrities to remember at cons, didn't usually care.
My sister had James Marsters stake himself with her styrofoam Mr. Pointy
Have offered to give up my seat at a card table to Lois Mcmaster Bujold
Talked to Catherine Asaro when she visited my college class on sci-fi(the geniuses mentioned in the Radiant Seas were the year before me)
Casually ran into a whole lot of fantasy authors(Kurtz, Sherman, others I can't recall) at Darkover
Bumped into Richard Garfield in the gaming room of Philcon, briefly bowed in worship
Numerous other minor encounters
And this is in spite of incredible apathy on the subject of celebrities in general
