Hearts of Iron

How much should I pay for it? At Fry's it's like $40, and I'm not sure I want to pay that much for it.

Know of any better prices? Is it worth $40? Should I look for a successful *taps nose and winks* version of it?

It's an excellent game. It's worth that much.

Only if you enjoy endless hours of tedium.......its a game you eiether love or hate, personally it bored me to tears. normally I'm all about a rockin WWII PC game, I still play Panzer General II and I'm stoked for Blitzkrieg, but just something about HOI rubs me the wsrong way. Others*coughsheppardcough* on the board love it , and that fine, I'm just warning you that its not a game for everyone, go read some reviews for it and unless your absolutly positive you'll love it, wait for copies to hit the clearance bin before you part with 40+ dollars for it.

It also needs to be heavily patched to work correctly. When you do buy it immediately go to the offficial site and download the patches otherwise you will have a very buggy game on your hands. I happen to LOVE this game but am no longer as addicted as I was. It kept me up many a late night as I sent my panzers storming across the Ohio river.

The only reason I'm not playing it right this minute is because Shep needs to fix the mod he made for me :)

I think I'll pick it up. I've been reading reviews for it, and it sounds right up my alley. I'm a better strategist than a tactician, anyways (unless it's DoD).
