I took a point from SEIV and only listed the Kilotons of water displaced by my ships and thier arments.

thus a 600kt displacement cruiser is bigger then some Fed vessels but not as big as anything owned by the Empire..... (Shudders at the thoughts of how many Megatons of water a SSD would displace....)

i've come to the conclusion that my navy is grossly underpowered. With only 170 of the line, I'll get trashed :(. This is teh new definitive guide to Floater fleet strength.

Anyways, here are the new numbers.

Zarathrustra

The Zarathrustran navy is large, well-trained, and potent. The College of War and Diplomacy, at Xanadu, is one of the greatest schools of naval combat in existence. Most Clusters send their officers to train there. Also, Zarathrustra has many non-genemodded citizens, many of whom join the Marines, providing Zarathrustra with an army capable of fighting in high gravity environments.

Zarathrustran Defence Force (Sol System):
75 "Shadowstalker" Strike Cruisers
14 "Void Queen" Attack Carriers
7 "Ebon Blade" Dreadnoughts
28 "Lover" Fleet Tenders
7 "Wild Hunt" Orbital Assault Vessels (designed for boarding and capturing space facilities)
4 "Bane" Troopships
7 Military Clusters
60,000-plus Lancers and fighters, largely Militia.

Military Clusters are Floater naval bases- Self-sufficient collections of asteroids, comet farms, and zero-G manufacturing facilities. Military Clusters are rigged with huge Ion engines, allowing them to travel across the system in times of need.

The Zarathrustran Defence Force maintains seven motile Military Clusters, each named for a Greek hero. Each Cluster mounts several hundred missile tubes, roughly a hundred X-Ray lasers, and dozens of M/am cannon.

"Achilles Cluster"- Defending Zarathrustra, at Earth's L5 point. (12 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 1 Dreadnought, 4 Fleet Tenders, 1 Troopship, 1 OAV)

"Hector Cluster"-Defending Zarathrustra (10 Strike Cruisers, 2 Troopships, 1 OAV, 2 Attack Carriers, 1 Dreadnought, 4 Fleet Tenders)

"Agamemnon Cluster"-Defending Zarathrustra (10 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 1 Dreadnought, 1 OAV, 4 Fleet Tenders)

"Odysseus Cluster"- Asteroid Belt, roving. (11 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 1 Dreadnought, 1 OAV, 4 Fleet tenders)

"Hercules Cluster"- Saturn Orbit, guarding ring mining operations (10 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 1 Dreadnought, 4 Fleet Tenders, 1 Troopship, 1 OAV)

"Perseus Cluster"- Defending Oort Cloud Cluster (12 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 1 Dreadnought, 4 Fleet Tenders, 1 OAV)

"Theseus Cluster"- Defending Oort Cloud Cluster (10 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 1 Dreadnought, 1 OAV, 4 Fleet Tenders)

Zarathrustran Ship designs:

"Ebon Blade" Dreadnought:
Mass: 2000 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM suite, 25 decoy drones, heavy armor
Crew: 1000 enlisted, 200 officers, transport for 700 Marines.
Weapons: 60 capship missile launchers
40 X-ray laser lances
15 Mass Drivers
15 M/AM cannon
1 spinal-mounted Strategic Mass Driver (for bombardment, can hurl asteroids or just about anything else at a target.)
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperdrive, .2 G acceleration Ion drive, 100 G M/AM torch

"Shadowstalker" Class Strike Cruiser:
Mass: 300 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite, 4 decoy drones, armor.

25 X-ray laser lances- .25 AU range
5 Mass Drivers- Infinite range, effective range: .25 AU
6 M/AM projector cannon- short range (200,000 KM.)
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, .75 G thrust Ion Engines, 200G thrust M/AM torchdrive

"Night Queen" Attack Carrier
Mass: 1200 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite,8 Decoy Drones, armor
Crew: 1500 enlisted, 100 officers. Transport for up to 500 marines.
Weapons: 25 Capship missile launchers
50 X-ray lasers
10 Mass Drivers
10 M/AM projectors
Drives: WArshawski Sail Hyperspace device, .7 G thrust Ion Engines, 175 G thrust M/AM torchdrive
Attack Carriers have 4 Launch Arms, which unfold into a massive fighter service area , when the Attack Carrier is not under thrust. Attack Carriers can hold up to 5,000 lancers and fighters.

Kharam

The Templars of the Mother Void are the military arm of the Mother Void Church. They exist primarily to defend The Womb, the massive construction facility that creates the Floater Dreamships. Those floaters who are less orthodox in their religion view the defenses around the womb as unnecessary- after all, anyone who attacked the Womb would find themselves the target of every Floater in space.

Templars of the Mother Void(Alpha Centauri):
60 "Battle Saint" Strike Cruisers
8 "Mother Void" Attack Carriers
8 "Seraphim" Dreadnoughts
10 "Basilica" Monitors
2 "Crusader" Troop Transports
8 "Cleanser" OAVs
16 "Embrace" Fleet Tenders
4 Military Clusters
1 Womb
10,000 lancers (give or take)
The Womb is a 15-kilometer long space cathedral and shipyard. While it has a few "small" bays for the construction of civilian and military craft, the majority of the Womb exists to construct the 8-kilometer long sublight Dreamships which carry millions of frozen Floaters off into the depths of space, destined for distant stars. The Womb acts as a immobile supply base for the 10 Basilica-class monitors, which defend the Womb. The Womb is extremely heavily armored, and mounts over 500 missile tubes and 50 m/am projection cannon. The womb is defended by a shield bought from the.

"Raphael Cluster"- alpha Centauri asteroid belt, roving (15 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 2 Dreadnoughts, 4 Fleet Tenders, 2 OAVs)

"Michael Cluster"- alpha Centauri asteroid belt, roving (15 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 2 Dreadnoughts, 4 Fleet Tenders, 2 OAVs 1 Troopship)

"Hadriel Cluster"- Oort Comet Cloud Cluster, defending (15 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 2 Dreadnoughts, 4 Fleet Tenders, 2 OAVs)

"Gregorian Cluster"- Oort Comet Cloud Cluster, defending (15 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carrier, 2 Dreadnoughts, 4 Fleet Tenders, 1 Troopship, 2 OAVs)

Kharamite Ship designs:

"Basilica" Monitor
Mass: 6000 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite, 50 Decoy Drones, extremely heavy armor
Crew: 2000 enlisted, 600 officers. Monitors also carry almost a thousand religeous personelle at all times.
Weapons: 80 capship missiles launchers
20 superheavy X-ray lasers (1 AU effective range)
10 Seige Mass Drivers (1 AU effective range)
25 M/AM cannon
Drives: .02 G thrust Ion Engines, 20 G M/AM torches.

Monitors are little more than mobile defence fortresses. They are rarely found outside of the Womb, and never found outside the Alpha Centauri system.

"Seraphim" Dreadnought
Mass: 2000 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM suite, 15 decoy drones, heavy armor
Crew: 1500 enlisted, 200 officers, carry space for 250 marines
Weapons: 20 capship missile launchers
25 x/ray lasers
20 mass drivers
15 M/AM projection cannon
Drives: Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperdrive, .2 G acceleration Ion drive, 100 G M/AM torch

"Battle Saint" Strike Cruiser
Mass: 500 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite, 8 decoy drones, armor.
Crew: 150 enlisted, 20 officers. Transport for up to 300 Marines.
Weapons: 8 capship missile launchers (M/AM, Thermonuke, shrapnel, and X-ray laser warheads available)- .5 AU range
15 X-ray laser lances- .25 AU range
10 Mass Drivers- Infinite range, effective range: .25 AU
3 M/AM projector cannon- short range (200,000 KM.)
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, .6 G thrust Ion Engines, 220G thrust M/AM torchdrive

Weapons: 20 Capship missile launchers
25 X-ray lasers
30 Mass Drivers
5 M/AM projectors
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, .6 G thrust Ion Engines, 220 G thrust M/AM torchdrive

"Mother Void" class attack carriers are designed differently from the Zarathrustran "Night Queen." They can launch and service fighters even while under acceleration, but can carry only around 3,000 fighters and lancers.

Xanadu

The vessels of the cluster of Xanadu are not built under any one, specific template. They are generally quite old, the product of years of construction and reconstruction. Do not let that fool you- they are all well-built and hardy vessels, made even more dangerous by the fact that all Xanadu vessels carry small docking arms to accommodate swarms of Xanadu Militia lancers and fighters.

United Xanadu Navy(Taiga System):
25 "Arcturus" Strike Cruisers
5 "Myrmidon" Attack Carriers
10 "Nurture" Fleet Tenders
4 "Vigilance" OAVs
2 "Assassin" Troop Transports
3 Military Clusters

Xanadu Militia
50 Strike Cruisers (no official designations)
3 Attack Carriers (no official designations)
4 OAVs (no official designations)
10 Fleet Tenders (no official designations)
400,000 lancers (or more... or less...)

The Xanadu Militia's fleet is spread across the Taiga system. Most of their vessels roam freely, cruising at low speeds on long, quiet patrol routes. The official Xanadu navy, based on the Xanadu Wheel itself, maintains three Military Clusters, one of which contains the Xanadu School of War, the second major floater military academy. The Xanadu Navy uses no Dreadnought-class vessels, relying on huge numbers of Militia lancers rather than heavy warships to absorb fire.

"Helena Cluster" Defending Xanadu (10 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack Carriers, 3 Fleet Tenders, 2 OAVs)

"Minerva Cluster" Defending Xanadu (5 Strike Cruisers, 1 Attack Carrier, 3 Fleet Tenders, 1 Troop Transport, 1 OAV)

"Vesta Cluster" Patrolling Oort Cloud (10 Strike Cruisers, 2 Attack
Carriers, 4 Fleet Tenders, 1 Troop Transport, 1 OAV.)

Xanadar Ship designs:

"Arcturus" Strike Cruiser
Mass: 400 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite, 3 decoy drones, armor.
Crew: 120 enlisted, 20 officers. Transport for up to 50 Marines.
Weapons: 15 capship missile launchers (M/AM, Thermonuke, shrapnel, and X-ray laser warheads available)- .5 AU range
25 X-ray laser lances- .25 AU range
2 Mass Drivers- Infinite range, effective range: .25 AU
1 M/AM projector cannon- short range (200,000 KM.)
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, 1 G thrust Ion Engines, 250G thrust M/AM torchdrive

The Arcturus has a docking scaffold with room for up to 25 Lancers.

"Myrmidon" Attack Carrier
Mass: 1100 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite, 4 Decoy Drones, armor
Crew: 1000 enlisted, 50 officers. Transport for up to 100 marines.
Weapons: 40 Capship missile launchers
50 X-ray lasers
5 Mass Drivers
3 M/AM projectors
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, 1 G thrust Ion Engines, 230 G thrust M/AM torchdrive

The Myrmidon is built much like the Night Queen, with three docking arms. The Myrmidon can only pick up and repair/resupply fighters when under no acceleration. Myrmidons carry up to 6,000 lancers and fighters.

Mohaim

Mohaim (pronounced "Moh-Haym", being the smallest, and newest, of the Floater Clusters, has a small navy. What they do have, though, is well-trained and prepared for any danger their frontier location may provide. It should be noted that

Free Mohaimese Navy:
25 “Lynx” Strike Cruisers
3 "Lion" Dreadnoughtts
5 “Gryphon” Attack Carriers
20 "Dervish" Gunships
12 Fleet Tenders
5 OAVs
5 Troopships
5 Military Clusters
150,000 Lancers

The Free Mohaimese Navy is strange in that it outfits it’s military clusters with military-grade M/Am torch engines and Warshawski sail generators. Each Mohaimese cluster is capable of interstellar travel. In addition, most Mohaimese vessels field armaments based on missiles and special long range "shotgun" type Mass Drivers- the Mohaimese fleet is small, and relies on lancers and fighters for brawling, while maintaining their capital ships at long distance.

“Sun Tzu Cluster”- Defending Mohaim. (5 Strike Cruisers, 1 Attack Carrier, 4 Gunships, 2 Fleet Tenders, 1 OAV, 1 Troopship.)

“McArthur Cluster”- Defending Mohaim. (5 Strike Cruisers, 1 Attack Carrier, 4 Gunships, 2 Fleet Tenders, 1 OAV, 1 Troopship.)

“Napoleon Cluster”- Patrolling, beyond the ecliptic. (5 Strike Cruisers, 1 Attack Carrier, 4 Gunships, 2 Fleet Tenders, 1 OAV, 1 Troopship.)

“Alexander Cluster”- Patrolling, Mohaim System Asteroid Belt. (5 Strike Cruisers, 1 Attack Carrier, 4 Gunships, 2 Fleet Tenders, 1 OAV, 1 Troopship.)

“Scipio Cluster”- Unassigned. (5 Strike Cruisers, 1 Attack Carrier, 4 Fleet Tenders, 1 OAV, 4 Gunships, 3 Dreadnoughts, 1 Troopship.)

Mohaimese Ship designs:

"Lynx" Strike Cruiser
Mass: 350 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite, 3 decoy drones, armor.
Crew: 100 enlisted, 10 officers.
Weapons: 30 capship missile launchers (M/AM, Thermonuke, shrapnel, and X-ray laser warheads available)- .5 AU range
5 "Blunderbuss" Shotgun Mass Drivers - .5 AU effective range
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, .7 G thrust Ion Engines, 250G thrust M/AM torchdrive

"Gryphon" Attack Carrier
Mass: 1000 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite, 12 Decoy Drones, armor
Crew: 750 enlisted, 50 officers.
Weapons: 60 Capship missile launchers
5 X-ray lasers
10 "Blunderbuss" Mass Drivers
1 M/AM projector
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, .5 G thrust Ion Engines, 200 G thrust M/AM torchdrive

"Dervish" Gunship
Mass: 100 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM suite, 2 Decoy Drones, armor
Crew: 50 enlisted, 10 officers
Weapons: 4 capship missile launchers
2 M/AM projection cannon
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, .7 G thrust Ion Engines, 250G thrust M/AM torchdrive

"Dervish" gunships mount five times the point defenses of a "Lynx" Strike Cruiser. they act to protect Mohaimese vessels from enemy missiles and fighter strikes.

"Lion" Dreadnought
Mass: 1500 Kilotons
Defenses: Floater EM Suite, 25 decoy drones, heavy armor.
Crew: 1000 enlisted, 100 officers.
Weapons: 100 capship missile launchers (M/AM, Thermonuke, shrapnel, and X-ray laser warheads available)- .5 AU range
25 "Blunderbuss" Shotgun Mass Drivers - .5 AU effective range
Drives: Warshawski Sail Hyperspace device, .3 G thrust Ion Engines, 175 G thrust M/AM torchdrive

Floater EM suites

the Floater EM suite is a 5-stage defense. The first two stages are passive: Floater vessels have radar-absorbing armour which foil confuse enemy active sensors, and have ECM devices which simulate the background radiation of space, which helps mask the emissions of a floater vessel at long ranges.

The next two stages are active. In combat, the Floater vessel uses ECM drones to simulate the emissions of additional combat vessels, foil enemy sensors, and play merry hell with tracking systems. To sensors, one Floater warship will seem to be a blur one moment, in one spot the next moment, and in another spot entirely the next. Floater EM drones also play widebeam lasers over enemy vessels, to blind optical telescope devices.

The last stage is a system of point defence guns, which track and shoot down enemy fighters and missiles. Point defence guns are either lasers or "shotgun" type coilguns.

Fleet Train Info:

OAVs have only light defensive weapons and 5 missile tubes, while Troopships are unarmed, but carry dropships armed with light fighter-scale weaponry. Both have Warshawski Sails, .7 g thrust Ion Engines, and 200 g M/AM torchdrives. Fleet Tenders are large (1000 KT), unarmed support vessels, which can repair and refuel a Floater fleet. All vessels carry a Floater EM suite, armor comparable to that of a strike cruiser, and at least 1 decoy drone.

So,. my final numbers are as such:

Supercapital Ships:
8 "Seraphim" Dreadnoughts
7 "Ebon Blade" Dreadnoughts
3 "Lion" Dreadnoughts
10 "Basilica" Monitors (sublight only, Alpha Centauri System)
----- 18 Dreadnoughts total

Capital Ships:
14 "Void Queen" Attack Carriers
5 “Gryphon” Attack Carriers
5 "Myrmidon" Attack Carriers
8 "Mother Void" Attack Carriers
3 Xanadu Militia Attack Carriers (no designations)
------ 35 Attack Carriers total

Escorts:

60 "Battle Saint" Strike Cruisers
75 "Shadowstalker" Strike Cruisers
25 “Lynx” Strike Cruisers
25 "Arcturus" Strike Cruisers
50 Xanadu Militia Strike Cruisers (no official designations)
20 "Dervish" Gunships
------- 235 Strike Cruisers total, 20 Gunships

for a total of 308 major combatants (plus several hundred thousand sublight Lancers and Fighters)

In order to conform to the ~300 Heavy Combatants, change my FD thusly:

250 Cruiser-analogues,
50 Battleship-analogues.

Yes, there's a lack of a true 'Destroyer' at this time.

Note on Fleet Designations

Fenari Destroyers

1 Spinal Gauss Gun
6 PD Turrets (Laser Turrets)
1 Spinal Fusion Laser (Directly Below the Coil Gun)

These vessels have very limited Cargo (Almost all of it being ammo for the Gaussl Guns. Their sole purpose is to act as Point defense Shields for the larger ships, and once the big guns have commenced with the heavy missile exchange, Swarm and cripple a weakened target of opportunity with their main guns. The spinal mounting is primarily to deal with the intense recoil of the Gauss Gun, and to use the reactor itself to power up the Fusion heat laser (Infrared). <Kinda like martian heat beams.>

The Monacoran Astral Navy:

The Monacoran Astral Navy sucks beyond all belief with battleships, with the un-offical motto of the mobile branch of the Navy being "Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck ::muffled explosion, and then static::" The ships are badly equiped, slow, and have no gravity to help repel boarders because the Space Marines are well equiped for zero G fighting. These ships are now used mainly to repel pirates, but are also assigned to guard colonies and battle-stations.

On the other hand, the battle-station branch of the navy is relativley decent, Manning massive space stations with multiple rings providing centrifugal gravity. The stations are armed to the teeth with every possible weapon and are shielded up the Wazooo. Best of all these are often placed in the proximity of colony space statios (which are also lightly armed), making enemies less likley to attack for fear of killing millions of civillians.

Astral Navy:

Battle Ship Classes:

Zugzwang Class:

20 Missle Launchers with various missle types available
10 Mass Driver Cannons
40 X-Ray Lasers
2 Very High Yield Pulse Laser Cannons(front facing only, not rotatable or turret mounted)

Porcupine Class:

80 Missle Launchers (with Various Types available)
5 Mass Driver Cannons
10 X-Ray Lasers

Malachi Class Destroyer (The only Class of Destroyer):

20 X-Ray Cannons
5 Mass Driver Cannons
40 Point Defense Cannons (anti-Military)

Monacoran Class Carrier (Only Active Class):

10 X-Ray Cannons
5 M/AM Cannons
5 Mass Driver Cannons
Compliment of 100+ Fighters

Battle Stations: (Each One is different, here is the average Station Ring's (5 on each station) compliment)

400 X-Ray Lasers
50 Missle Launch Tubes
30 M/AM cannons
20 Mass Drivers
2 (one at Each End) High Yield Pulse Laser Cannons
20 Star Fighters (Only Standardized thing per Station)

Edit, added this ship now:

Hyper Driver (a massive ship, designed just to launch giant asteroids at planets):

1 Mass Cannon
20 Anti-Missle Lasers

Fleet sizes/deployment

And Army Descrptiont/Deployment to come

Wok Around the Clock,

Balti Towers,

Bagel-dee,

Donut-dum,

Roadkill Diner,

Flamebait Steakhouse.

The Archangel - relic floating in hyperspace, an Eclipse class SSD hulk, scavenged to the point where it is nothing more than a hull with atmosphere. No recoverable tech and weapons, shields and the hull are all SIGNIFICANTLY degraded.

Other assets are as yet unknown. After all, they've only just arrived in this universe after a couple of millenia in hyperspace.

No I don't, we'll just treat your "ships" as being drifting pieces of paper with the class name written on them for the purposes of this STGOD

I've given Phong the basic run-down. And no, I won't be pulling a freaking collection of cruisers out my arse.

This is a relic fleet from the STGOD mk1 universe that has been drifting for millions of years in hyperspace and is at roughly the same tech level as B5. Its a VERY small collection of vessels, except for our very well publicised ones.

Wrong

If people don't have specifications then we can't judge if this thing is going to work. And with the trend of declaring forces with nothing but large capital ships it is a rather pressing issue.

EDIT: Added bold text to make it easier to read.

EDIT 4/29/03: Changed the deployment of the carrier groups. 10 in reserve is ridiculous, considering that the USN only holds 1 in reserve.

The United Pirate Kingdom maintains 12 carrier battle groups. 10 are on permanent patrol throughout UPK space. Group 4 will finish its modernization and upgrade program within the coming months, and join the others on permanent patrol. Group 12 is on reserve over Betelgeuse Prime. Used primarily for training and prototype purposes, it is nonetheless ready to be called into action with 48 hours notice.

Each battle group consists of:
1 "Leviathan" carrier
This massive ship is the center of any fleet. It carries thousands of bombers and tens of thousands of fighters and interceptors. Its weapons are few and generally geared toward missile defense, but its shielding is immense. It is shaped like four modern carriers glued together, giving it 4 decks to take advantage of Space's 3-dimensional nature. Attack craft are stored on and below the flight decks, while the inner core of the ship houses the massive fusion reactors, the gigantic engine, and the still impressive shield generators.

2 "Great White" cruisers
These 2 ships are charged with protecting the carrier from large capital ships. To do this, they are equipped with 6 powerful, high energy particle beams mounted on limited turrets, 30 medium strength beams on ball turrets, a pair of 50-cell rapid fire missile launchers for anti-fighter and anti-cruise missile work, and its main weapon, a forward facing mass driver whose support and recoil-absorption fixtures run the entire length of the ship. It is capable of obliterating another Great White cruiser in a single hit.

10 "Killer Whale" destroyers
These fast, multi-role ships are designed to fill any role they are called for. They mount a pair of high strength particle beams identical to the ones on the Great White cruisers on forward-facing limited turrets, along with 24 medium strength beams on ball turrets, and 6 50-cell rapid-fire missile launchers. While lacking strength against much larger ships, these destroyers can be difficult to target and hit by those ships and present a dire threat to attack craft and other destroyers alike.

18 "Hammerhead" frigates
Relying on their speed, stealth, small size, and larger brethren to protect them from other capital ships, the purpose of these frigates is to intercept and destroy heavy bombers or light attack craft that would otherwise be too much for one-man fighters to handle. These frigates mount 4 medium strength beams, 16 light strength beams, and 4 20-cell RF missile launchers.

Added 4/25/03
2 "Sonar" sensor ships
These vulnerable but heavily protected ships sit near the carrier in the center of the battle group. Weaponless and with minimal shielding, their purpose is to cut through enemy jamming while producing their own, and to compute firing solutions for friendly vessels (sorry Marina, your idea was so good I just had to use it ;))

5,000 "Barracuda" interceptors
These fast and agile fighters are designed to take out enemy bombs, torpedoes, and the ships that carry them. Mounting a pair of light strength particle beams, 2 fission missile magazines with 4 missiles each, and a light shielding system, these fighters are highly effective in their role.

25,000 "Piranha" attack fighters
Lacking the astounding speed and tiny size of the Barracuda class, these 2 man multi-role fighters more than make up for it with increased firepower, shielding, and versatility. Their armament consists of 1 medium particle beam, 3 turreted light particle beams, 2 fission missile magazines with 6 missiles each, and the optional ability to carry a medium torpedo that is carried on the underside of the ship and runs along its entire length.

4,000 "Tiger Shark" attack bombers
These large, versatile craft are designed to fill many roles, from destroying enemy capital ships to planetary assault. They have 2 medium particle beams in turrets, 12 turreted light beams, 2 RF missile launchers with 50 missiles each, 8 medium torpedoes under the wings, and 1 heavy torpedo along the underside of the ship. Inside the bomb hatch there is room for one of the following: another heavy torpedo, 16 medium torpedoes, 300 missiles, a variety of ground attack bombs, or 20 (EDIT: was 100, realized this was excessive in light of what each platoon consisted of) landing capsules, each carrying 1 platoon of soldiers and their vehicles and equipment.

EDIT: Sorry, don't have a long enough attention span to do this whole thing in one sitting ;)

In addition to this, battle groups 1 and 12 have battleships with them, the "Child of Chaos" and the "Fury", respectively. Battleships were already considered out-dated before the war had any end in sight, and these were the only two to survive it. The Fury has been retrofitted within the last 10 years, while the Child of Chaos' technology is over 50 years old, and is slated for decommisioning within the year. No hulls for new battleships have been laid down.

"Child of Chaos" Battleship
This ship is something of a paper tiger. Its mammoth size, almost approaching that of a "Leviathan" carrier, is not indicative of its level of power. Although its guns are powerful and its armor is thick, its outdaded targeting system has trouble with modern jamming techniques, and its shielding is no stronger at any point than that of a far smaller "Great White" cruiser. Instead of the particle beams and RF missile systems now in use by the UPK, this ship mounts high-energy lasers and rotating-barrel mass drivers. While each weapon may not possess as much firepower individually, the ship is absolutely bristling with them. Its full firepower, when it can be fully utilized, is awesome.

"Fury" Battleship
While displacing less than half the Child of Chaos' massive bulk, the Fury is the strongest single ship in the fleet. Mounting 18 high energy particle beams, 100 medium strength beams, 10 50-cell RF missile launchers, and a trio of mass drivers of equal size and strength to the ones carried by "Great White" cruisers, the withering firepower of this Battleship is capable of destroying a Leviathan carrier in under a minute. Its shielding is second only to a Leviathan carrier, and then only by a small amount, while its armor and double-hull keeps it in viable fighting shape even after shielding has been lost. Unfortunately, a warship of its size is a juicy target for heavy torpedo attacks, and no countermeasure is distracting enough to spoof incoming missiles. Without the swarms of fighters and interceptors carriers enjoy, other, just as impressive battleships perished in flames. In light of this vulnerability, both battleships are used in a supporting role at long range.

EDIT 4/25/03: Removed stealth destroyers.

Ground attack:
Ground attack platoons are generally of three types: Mechanized infantry, armored, and artillery. Air support is provided by the carrier's fighters and bombers and orbital support is filled by the capital ships.

EDIT: Wow, this Mechanized infantry section is really hard to read. I'll add some spaces.

EDIT 4/29/03: Revamped the equipment of infantry as it occured to me that laser weapons would be too weak to penetrate most body armor.

Mechanized infantry platoon:
3 squads of 12 soldiers each, plus officer, mortar team, and spotter team
Each squad has 8 riflemen, 2 anti-vehicle support units, 1 anti-infantry support unit, 1 leader

Rifles fire 9 x 63 mm Depleted Uranium cartridges, accelerated by electromagnetism. Drum-fed magazines supply 35 round capacity. Inertial dampener technology used to eliminate recoil and transporter technology in platoon ammo boxes allow for effectively limitless ammo during optimum conditions. They come equipped with computerized fire control system linked to soldiers' helmet. Underslung 40mm high velocity grenade launcher capable of precise air-burst. Grenades are usually fragmentation, but can be nerve gas, tear gas, or nuclear (5 ton yield).

Anti-vehicle launchers use a small shaped-charge fission device carrying approximately 50 TNT-tons of power

Anti-infantry machine gun is a continuous-fire phaser weapon with a large energy reserve

Mortar is a fission device of approximately 250 tons of power. Alternatively, nerve gas can be used.

Each soldier is armored with full body armor made of advanced plastics and ceramics, coated in a layer of smart material whose color changes to match the background. The helmet incorporates the standard suite of features, including a HUD, zoom, radio, amplified audio, night vision, auto-dimming vision to prevent blindness, and others. The armor is thick and encompassing enough to protect from near misses from high-powered weapons and shrapnel, but not direct hits. It is light and flexible enough to leave mobility and agility intact. Needless to say, the armor offers full NBC protection.

The squads travel in IFVs (Infantry Fighting Vehicles) that mount a turreted phaser weapon, a missile launcher firing the same ordnance as the man-portable version, and a 75 mm mass driver. It is a tracked vehicle with medium-armor. Other than the driver, 3 gunners, and commander, it holds 8 occupants.

Armored Platoon:
An armored platoon consists of 4 main battle tanks and their crew. Each tank is a tracked vehicle equipped with a 150 mm mass driver, two turreted phaser weapons, a missile launcher, heavy armor, and a small shield generator.

Artillery Platoon:
Each platoon carries 1 heavy and 4 light artillery pieces. Heavies have a range of over 30 miles, while lights have a range of 10. They carry a variety of ordnance, from illuminating flares, to chemical weapons, to kiloton-yield fusion ordnance. All come in normal and shaped-charge varieties for destroying so-called "super tanks" and other large vehicles. Artillery uses a variety of integral sensor equipment, as well as feed from orbiting starships and soldiers' helmets, and is easily accurate enough to score direct hits on exposed tank-sized vehicles.

Two Problems:

A. That goes a tad over the ship limit previously set of ~300 (you have 372)

B. This is DS9 Tech Level, and unless your ships are only comparing their weapons to other ships of their class, well then they go a [SARCASM]tad[/SARCASM] over the tech limit previously set.

Wok Around the Clock,

A massive Chinese Takeaway Restaurant shaped like a covered wok adorned with huge, glaring neon signs.

Balti Towers,

An Indian restaurant/takeaway in the shape of a balti kebab.

Bagel-dee,

Bagel bakery shaped like a huge bagel.

Donut-dum,

Donut and coffee house shaped like a large frosted donut.

Roadkill Diner,

I looks like a huge converted train carriage and the food quality is about the same as you'd expect.

Flamebait Steakhouse.

My god - its full of steaks! Yes, its an enormous restaurant styled after a poll-hereford bull. Moo.

Well, thats the basic descriptions, I'm digging about in google trying to find the original descriptions of most of these.

With our fleet of high-speed delivery vessels the multi-verses best curries, takeaway, donuts and bagels are all available now. Just dial 1-800 J-I-H-A-D for 1 hour service anywhere. And if you want anyone smited with that order just leave an order with our expert chefs and we'll have one "extra spicy" order coming along too. If your in the area why not drop in for a great eat-in meal with live bands including Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles Monday to Thursday on Wok Around the Clock, Bob Marley, White Man Can't Reggae and Ice cube jamming together on Balti- Towers three nights a week and the special reunion show of Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Luciano Pavarotti doing your caberet favourites at Bagel-Dee station Fridays and saturdays, and don't forget the best jazz this side of proxima-centauri sunday afternoons (Galactic Standard Time). And remember our business motto: 100% real food, no replicators or you can disentegrate a service attendant free of charge.

So drop on by, bring the family, the mistress or the 101st Airborne, we'll cater for them all and more.

-----

Seeing as this is a "new TGOD" and the original stations were lost...

Each of the Jihad stations are over 10km in size (10% of the original specifications, but we don't have to cater to goddamn fleets of world-ships any more) and utilise advanced hydroponic and agricultural techniques to create 100% non-replicated food stuffs at the "farms" with are within the vessels.

Each is designed to cater for several million customers a day, though the standard flow through is generally much less.

Weapons systems:
Damn good food.
Point defense turrets on the "drive-through" and "car-park" areas.

Your fighters are massively over armed and your strategic missiles totally unacceptable power gaming. You should notice that the most heavily protected object in the game is 300 kilometers long and can only take 20 gigatons per second.
