favorite ride?

Post by Enforcer Talen »

what was your favorite carnival ride, and why?

my current favorite is in california land - its a big tower that uses compressed air to launch you about 150 ft about the ground, lets you look over the park, admire the coasters, get a quick comment in, then drops you.

then it does it 3 or 4 more times so you can sure you saw all you liked.

the adrenaline makes every other ride tame =^_^=

The Zipper, though it's been a while.

Imagine a chainsaw-like structure a couple of stories high. There are a number of cages around the edge which you sit in, then they move around it, like a chainsaw, while the whole thing rotates around it's center.

I went on a ferris wheel like that. picture a bike wheel with beads - beads are your cabin.

I amused myself by telling my cabinmates the physics of what would happen if it dropped.

they were quite pale by the time they got off.

The Log Ride of course, although one day I will ride the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. Oh yeah

I'm a big fan of the log ride myself.

Though I do like whatevr one it is where there is a row of seats on 2 arms, and you spin around on a 2 dimensional plane, going up and down. The name varies.

The Gravitron

basicly a flting saucer looking thing where you lay back against the slanted wall. it spins and *ta-da!* a strange and mystical force known as 'gravity' pulls you against the wall as you slide up to the ceiling. after 7 or 8 rides, you get out and puke popcorn and diet coke on your shoes.

My sexy GF's naked body. :D

Oh...you said "carnival ride", let me think...does helicopter rides count? They had a helicopter at the local carnival that took us on trips around the Toronto skyline, that was my fave ride there.

Favourite carnival ride? I guess the ferris wheel. That was pretty much the only ride we have at the carnival around here, so it doesn't have much competition. :D

If we were to get into favourite amusement park ride, I'd be able to answer a more exciting answer--the Tower of Terror! Nothing like being dropped 13 stories with just a little bar holding you in place. Bwahahaha, love it! :D

I forgot the stats for it... Highest speed is a little under 60 mph though, and there are quite a few drops.

And the pic is too big. Can you reduce the size at all?

One that doesn't move too fast and gives me a nice view. The Ferris Wheel and the Skyway at Six Flags are nice. I don't like roller coasters.

Erm, good question, used to love them.

Of course the Ferris wheel is now irredemably currupted by that scum bag Henry Lime, and his refrences in "Big O" and "True Romance", yeah illicent deals that's what people use carnival rides for.
