Well, if this don't beat all...

You would not believe what I saw on a billboard on my drive to work today. The billboard was fairly spartan, but on one side was an image of a kid about to take a bite out of a burger. The image was distorted as though by a fish-eye lense, enlarging the burger and giving the kid an obese apearance. On the other side was the statement, "Feeding children meat is child abuse". And what graced the lower right-hand corner? PETA.

I tells ya, if I weren't a law-abiding citizen, there'd be some arson in the near future... Aren't there laws against this sort of nonsense?

You need lunatics on both side of the question. This way, you have the counterbalance for the McDonalds "our fries are made to be healthy and an equilibrated low fat diet" advertisement.

On second though, just put them all on a desert island with no hope of rescue.

PETA is thousands of miles away from me, and that's how I like it 8)

You mean posting stupidity in public? I'm afraid not. Otherwise there would be a lot fewer creationists and idiot trekkies about.

They actually sent representatives here to try and ban fishing.

Yes, ban fishing.

It was amazing on the news just how hostile a fisherman can get when someone from abroad with all the tact of a Red Shirt announces that fishing should be illegal.

Hey, the Constitution guarantees freedom of stupidity! It's in there somewhere!

Seriously, PETA is getting quite desperate. Of course, stuffing yourself with hamburgers is going to make you fat, but I don't see what point that ad was trying to make.

Perhaps a sign with the pic of a rake kid eating a celery and a carrot saying, "Making kids hebavours is child abuse."

When it comes to PETA, outrageous ad campaigns are the norm rather than the exception. What do you expect from an organization who claims that their goal is to reduce the suffering of animals, while it's abudantly clear that their real purpose is to make all vegetarians look like misanthropic weirdoes.

I wonder how many paintballs it would take to visibly vandalize that?
