Solution to the problem of fundamentalists

Post by NapoleonGH »

I have happend upon the greatest humanitarian cause in history. Currently the religious faithful are on an imperfect world waiting for their lives to end, so as to join their creator in heaven (christian faithful but others work to). They are waiting to experience an eternity of joy. When someone can experience joy sooner rather than later and escape pain and disease and unhappyness, isnt it your obligation to morality to try to help them escape this pain?

As such I hereby form the Atheist's Committee to Return Religious People to God the ACRRPG. Our stated goal is to return all religious people to their god, through the involuntary sessation of life among the faithful, to be effected as soon as possible. We must act to end the suffering of our religious brothers and sisters as soon as possible, it is the only moral option. These acts of mercy are a moral imperative, the ACRRPG requires many people to assist it in its goal, the complete return of all the faithful to their creator and their eternal bliss at the earliest possible time.

What about the ones that want to go there after they die, just don't want to die yet?

i said this would be an involuntary program.

Basically they have a paradise awaiting them, and are suffering through life as we all do with disease, pain, etc. It is only moral to aid them in ending suffering and pain and disease by sending them to their paradise immediately.

how does being a fundy matter, my original topic line is slightly wrong, becuase you qualify for our program to, believing in a heaven and all. We will be recruiting catholic priests to perform last rights for all our participants to insure thier return to their creator.

Yes, mass murder is an excellent solution to religious beliefs.

Yes because a little sarcasm is a bad thing....

Also the entire point is really to ask the question, if you have a paradise waiting for you in the afterlife and are suffering now, isnt it alot like euthanasia, shouldnt mercy killing of the religious to bring them their paradise faster be a moral thing in that the end result is to create more happiness than less for the person in question?

It would have been better if you had posted it OT. I don't know you. Even yesterday a fucker started posting that the poor should be shot for having babies ilegally, among other things.

And some people might feel offended by reading sarcasm advocating their forced killing. How would you react if a fundie came here and posted an article advocating the death of all atheists, in a sarcastic way?

I just didn't find it that humourous.

I'm not religious, but I do know that goes against all Christian teachings and beliefs.

it does colonel, it is immoral to kill, that is why it is atheists doing the killing, we are mearly allowing our friends to go to heaven without any guilt on their conscience, no need for suicide, we'll do it for them.

It cannot be by consent because that would be the same thing as suicide in god's eyes, the only way to do it properly is to do it without anyone's consent, then they can go to heaven according to their belief structure, members of the organization are taking the responsablity for these killings on their shoulders.

And this belongs in a forum that debates logic and morality, for as i stated it does have a real inner moral question that is questioning your belief structure. If it is generally a moral thing to cause greater happiness while reducing sadness (my guideline for moral behavior, the utilitarian base concept, if the end result includes more happiness then if you hadn't acted then you are being moral) then according to the christian dogma's it is moral for me to kill all christains (after offering them last rights, for those who are catholic and anyone else who believs in extreme unction) and thus send them to paradise, creating more happiness as an end result than not.

This cannot be proposed for atheists, because either way their deaths will result in MORE pain and sorrow because if the religious folks are right we go to hell and suffer for eternity and you took our onyl chance to have some minor amount of happiness mixed in with the pain away, making the act immoral. However, if atheists are right and there is no heaven/hell/etc. then we are being sent into oblivion, once again stealing away our chances for temporal happiness.

You are sarcastically proposing the death of my parents. They're very moderate Christians, and don't wish to die. So..

..

You don't want to continue this.

I hate to break it to you, but even putting someone out of their missery is against the bible. Second, the Catholic Church has openly spoken out against it. And I hope you are not a fundie because they will eat you alive here.

I am in the middle on this subject and really don't have any opinion, but I soon will.

thats the thing Admiral

I am accepting the christian view of immorality to cause great good for people. Our group is taking this "burden" to cause good for all those people. Sure we may go to "hell" for it, but we are also going to cause good in the process.

Let me see if I understand what you're trying to say:

If I read you correctly, you are NOT arguing that it's actually OK to kill people, but you ARE arguing that if Christians truly believe in their own doctrines, then they would agree that you'd actually be doing them a huge favour by killing them now. Is this what you're saying?

--This line of reasoning makes complete sense except for one small fact. We know they are not going to heaven therefore it is still immoral for us to kill them. However, I will be sure to ask all my religious friends just HOW strong their faith is and whether or not they believe I could do them such a favor.... :)
