He doesn't necessarilly need to keep manufacturing them all the time but rather hold on to what he had. That's much simpler and is within the scope of his ability. It's also possible, as has been shown, that he was making them on a small scale.

They would be a top priority since they would be the only hope he had to hold off the US or any major attacker.

Are you refering to the condition and fighting readiness of their armored divisions? Perhaps one of our mech vets could tell us how maintenance-intensive tracked vehicles are (Jegs?) because I believe Iraq was unable to buy replacement parts for them under the embargo. If true, then wouldn't their training would have to be cut way back in order to keep them in the field?

Couple that with the fact that the advantages the coalitions held over them in 91 has only increased would only make them seem that much more ineffective.

The RPG's: couldn't that be more a manufacturer defect (soviet?) than a soldier's ineptitude with the weapon? When were they purchased? Is there a shelf life on them? I don't know. Anyone?

The only program I think they would have a serious problem sustaining would be a nuclear one. As to the others (Chem or Bio), time will tell.

Soviet standard small arms are quite reliable, well-made weapons.

They were very old rounds. In 1991 2 out of 3 didn't work when the Coalition tried out captured examples. I doubt after 10 years on the shelf they'd get better.
Why would 'pesticide' be loaded in missiles? Sort of a disposable crop duster?
The pesticides were in barrels. The warheads were not loaded with anything, last I heard- these were two seperate 'finds' in two seperate places.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but no weapons have yet. If I'm not mistaken, "President" Bush stated that the search still going. Doesn't matter really, none of the justifications for this war panned out anyway.

Dammit, this is pissing me off. Quit putting 'President' in quotations every time it is said. He is the freaking president, whether you like it or not, so STFU. This bullcrap about it being an 'illegitimate regime' has just driven me to my last damn nerve.

What? :D
[Bush] We have conclusive evidence that Lord of the Farce is a terrorist threat to America. Our spy sattelites show that he is stockpiling plastic drinking straws and spitballs, as well as rubber bands and wet towels. We have officially declared Farce a part of the Axis of Evil. [/Bush]

[Powell] This is the game-plan: We're going to take out certain military installations where spitballs and plastic straws could be hidden with precision-guided monkey turd. Wet towels most likely are hidden in in the closet, and the 3rd infanticide division will be deployed with explicit orders to kill all living things in an effort to secure this position. The most important target for us to hit, though, is under the mattress. We believe... hehe... we believe that there are stockpiles of... hahaha... rubber bands and... HAHAHAHA. I'm sorry, guys. I can't even say this with a straight face. We're gonna go in and fuck up that Farce sonovabitch 'cuz he's hiding oil from us. And then we're gonna take his oil and make like mad! They'll never know what hit 'em, poor Aussie bastards! MWAHAHAHAHA! [/Powell]

ahem.

Yeah. It's like that.

Fuck you, that guy doesn't represent me and he wasn't elected. He's a sit-in Tommy-boy.

No!! So I'll stick with the quotations. Suck on it. Suck.....on......it. And when you're done, suck on it some more.

Well... maybe. But here's how I think it worked.

War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil -> War for oil.

::Revises::

Yeah, that's about right, I think.
