Well so far 2 times...of recent reconsideration of him

The problem with KC was they never took into any account that the Thunderbolt is pure magical energy...which should kill him nearly outright, if it indeed was just that a *MAGICAL* Thunderbolt. If it was just a conduit of energy that had no to little ill effects on the physical world(it seem to on everything but Batson but to such a low degree that all it did was merely burn his napsack)...which given that it removes all of Superman's invulnerabilty field and reduces him to pretty much average human...it would hurt, possibly kill...but regarding Superman's immense regenrative abilities...should have made him bleed...clothes smoking but bleeding? Eh. The other problem I had with the scene is Batson moving out of the way, given that the mythos has been it tracks him down regardless...and everytime they've moved out of the way is ignoring Ordway's presentation that in fact it's basically just presentation(the speed at which moves at is another thing I depised given Superman is his speed and would heard Batson moving his lips...honestly I wanted a fist fight, not a cop out) then an actual Thunderbolt that needs to home in on him(JSA#46 shows it can pierce dimensional barrier...)

The two aformentioned times that Batson though has beaten Supes are that Superman has a high degree(almost fatal) of vulnerability to magic items. Batson's strength is pure magic...he is not persay gifted with strength that wax or wane of physical, but actually has shown is a magical preset limit...he literally does event because the magic is funnel through his mind as strength(the Wizard SHAZAM shows that one can do immensely more with the thunderbolt).

Thus Captain Marvel versus Superman is a CM victory with ease...because all his other abilites are Superman level(short of no heat vision)...but also compensates it with immensely more knowledge and a profound Superman killer ability through his self.

Well hopefully...but then again it all depends if they take the time to do that research.(yeah I'm wildly wishing)

Everytime they do him...he wusses out unless he's not Superman(sorry, he has an immensely vast amount of powers...and using them dirty would make him a virtual god...but do they even think of the dirty ways of using heat vision or breath or speed?!.......no)

Sorry the Darkseid version should've been beyond bad-ass...and nope...he's a damn wuss.
