Say what you want, but the characters whine to damn much in it, and are pussies. They have like one damn fight then all of the sudden, Vong tech hits and they're just dumb fucks on a USS starship. Maybe these next books will put some more punch in there.

Noo, not really no, the last book was bad, but it's hardly accurate to go around whining about the NJO as a whole because of that.

Frankly the destruction of Corsucant was ridiculous, they should have had COruscant be the final battlefield. A knock down drag out battle. Fuckin shit...Now watching AoTC is a little stingy to see all of that greatness ruined.

I have no problem with this. Plotwise, the NJO has been the most dynamic series yet. Deaths of major characters, the destruction and conquest of important worlds, etc. The loss of Coruscant was, IMO, necessary because it represented the NR hitting "rock-bottom." IOW, its darkest hour before turning the tide of the war.

Quite frankly, these novels are the only way I get my Star Wars fix any more because the new movies have been a major disappointment (again, IMHO).

I have formed the opinion that people dont like NJO because it completely shatters the illusion of invurnelability regarding the key characters and worlds. Altough it is true that the characters have been made whiny bitches in many of the books that does not apply to the good books in NJO, overgeneralizing is stupid.
From what i read from Remnant, most of the superstructure below the Vongforming in Coruscant is still intact,they have rebuilt it after massive catastrophies before, now the catastrophy is just slightly bigger one.

Exactly, and with this the old moronic goverment got brushed aside and a new goverment that is interested to bring the fight to the Vong could step in. Most of the fault why the NR defense was so fuxored was because of Fey'Lya and the other morons in the goverment, and the fact that Viqi Shesh played a key role in hindering the NR defensive attempts.

What makes you think that it wont be the final battlefield? But this time the sides are the opposite than the last time. It would be friggin awesome if the final epic battle was fought of Coruscant, it would finish the series well.

Now it's just a shattered world made into a copy of Yuuzhan'tar.
