Citing a conflict of interest due to our trading relationship with the NRE, the UPK abstains from this vote.

yea

The trade of non-addicting drugs causes no objective harm and should be legal.

We think it would be reasonable to simply allow members to determine their own policy on drugs rather than forcing it on them.

Seconded. The PIR will not allow trade with drugs except for experimental and military purposes.

The Free Floater Republics will veto any such attempt by a nation such as your own, one which traffics in slaves, to join the ITA. Issue an emancipation proclamantion, and abolish the registration fee, and we will withdraw our complaint and vote yea for your entrence.
The Krytos Star Empire again petitions for membership in the ITA
the Floater Republics gladly vote Yea to this proposal.

The Emperor wishes to remind the Floater Republics that this merely a trade agreement, not a forum for international debate.

And the Freemen/bondmen/lovebound of the Floater republics would like to remind the Emporer that this is most certainly a forum for international debate. The purpose of this treaty is to protect free trade, for the benefit of all involved. Joining in a free trade agreement with an immoral, near-pariah state such as your own is as much bad business as it is immoral. Keep in mind that yours is the ONLY state in the history of Floater civilization to find itself under an embargo of Floater goods. It goes against the very core of the Floater code to do sucha thing, but your actions as a slave-holding power are even worse. [/u]

Soirehtyiaz does not believe it is this organizations problem what the NRE does within its own borders, but that its ships carrying slaves should not be allowed into our nations.

Yay to Raian.
Nay to allowing illegal drugs.

While the North American Union finds the intentions of Intersteller Trade Alliance honorable, we feel that bilateral trade agreements between individual powers would best suit America. Furthermore, we feel that the powers of the ITA are too broad for what proports to be a mere trade alliance.

We must decline joining the ITA for that reason.

If the decision is practically arlready made we abstain. Thus we hope to start a long line of Monacoran Neutrality to trade, except when it is threatening to Free Trade.
