TSCotC recognises the validity of this treaty, and will abide by it's terms. Our declared neutrality prevents us from doing anything further than endorsing it.
Be aware that vessels carrying slaves (though not prisoners of war) in C'tan space will be boarded and captured whenever possible.
Also, we remember the intent of the NRE to import slaves from forign powers. Should we discover citizens of the C'tan in such misfortune, there shall be retribution.

The Kokand Empire will formally join this treaty provided that the second article has been dropped.

The Empire will not have it's policy dictated to it by a foreign power. We will not permit you to interfere in our internal affairs. You are the not the galactic police, and we do not fall under jurisdiction. We will not permit your Empire to ttraffic in Human beings, r other species of sentient life

Morally, we cannot abide an state which treats intelligent beings as nothing more than property.HemlockGrey wrote:The Empire will not have it's policy dictated to it by a foreign power. Does your state have conscription by chance?Beowulf wrote:

Be warned: Current Floater public opinion runs quite strongly against your empire, and some of the hotter-headed voices in the Great Cluster already speak of war against those who treat sentients as chattel. The bondmen/freemen/lovebound of the Free Floater Republics stand ready to counter any acts of agression perpetrated by Imperial Rome. You are free not to abide us as much as you like. Not always, though the Imperial military does rely heavily on volunteers as well.Beowulf wrote:

I would not worry overmuch. Rome has no use for beings who can only exist in zero gravity.Be warned: Current Floater public opinion runs quite strongly against your empire, and some of the hotter-headed voices in the Great Cluster already speak of war against those who treat sentients as chattel. The Raian republic agrees with the anti-slavery treaty, as long as Slavery is defined according to the Republic's criteria:
1. Forced and involuntary servitude of a sentient species.
2. Any sentient laborer that recieves no financial compensation for his work.
3. A sentient being salable as property.
As Froyts are only semi-sentient, and their labor is neither forced nor involuntary, under Raian law they are not defined as slaves. Labor is simply their role in the Republic.[/list]

The confederacy would be, most displeased should a war of agression be launched against another soverigen nation by the NRE.

Your posturing attempts to threaten other nations will slavery endear you to no one, Romans. You would be wise not to alienate every nation with whom you have relations.HemlockGrey wrote:I would not worry overmuch. Rome has no use for beings who can only exist in zero gravity.

Pack animals are obviously not afforded the same rights as sentient beings. Further information concerning these Froyts would not be amiss, however.Setzer wrote:As Froyts are only semi-sentient, and their labor is neither forced nor involuntary, under Raian law they are not defined as slaves. The Emperor gives you his word that no war of aggression shall be initiated by the Empire. The confederacy would be, most displeased should a war of agression be launched against another soverigen nation by the NRE.
It appears our very culture alienates us to the mob and the hyprocrites populating this alliance. Your approval does not concern us. Stay out of our business and we will stay out of yours.Your posturing attempts to threaten other nations will slavery endear you to no one, Romans. If you would say thus to all the people who disapprove of slavery, you will find the galaxy a very lonely place indeed.HemlockGrey wrote:It appears our very culture alienates us to the mob and the hyprocrites populating this alliance. I believe they mean beasts of burden, such as ones that carry packs. Rather then creatures that move in packs. The Yosemite Bear wrote:

While the North American Union applauds the spirit of this alliance, we decline to join it at this time. However, a reminder to all those who may wish to do business with America may be in order:
- Trafficking of slaves is a capital crime in the North America Union. We know only too well from our own history the cruel truth of slavery
- Ships bearing slaves are barred from transiting the NAU EEZ.
- Slaves seeking freedom may request political asylum at any NAU consulate or embassy.
- We will not impose undue tarriffs or sanctions on nations that hold slaves.
- We reserve the right to interdict and inspect all traffic originating from and departing to nations that legalise slavery.

The Empire accepts the NAU's statements as reasonable.
We say thus to all who would attempt to infringe upon the soveriegn rights of the caesar and the Senate. If you would say thus to all the people who disapprove of slavery, you will find the galaxy a very lonely place indeed.

<While the packs do not understand your customs we are concerned on two points>
<1. Since the Packs fight amongst them selves for resources, we do have a custom of capturing members of other packs this is often used for purposes of marriages (the Male & Female Feanri fight to determine which pack they will belong too), also used for ransome or expatriation to other packs as a result warfare.
2. We do have a situation of a small percentage of our population being "Psychotic" this condition is incurable. Berzerkers are a "Blessing" of the *False gods* and is aggrivated by exposure/use of the *Sacrement*
3. The Berzerkers are also known for following the customs of our enemies the Jormungar & Kzin and eating those they defeat in battle. (Another reason they must be seperated from the rest of the species)
4. The Jormungar nor the Kzin neither ask or give quarter,
