If you would say thus to all the people who disapprove of slavery, you will find the galaxy a very lonely place indeed.
We say thus to all who would attempt to infringe upon the soveriegn rights of the caesar and the Senate.
While the NAU finds any slavery morally repungant, the government will not interfere with the soverign right of Rome to allow slaves.

As a sign of good will towards members of the antislavery alliance, the Emperor has officially banned slave trading within the Skaven Reich. The Rattenrat is now drafting legislation concerning the emancipation of those currently in slavery. This resolution is not expected to hurt the Skaven economy, as slavery has long since ceased to be economically significant.

The Reich recognizes the Alliance but is not at this time ready to join in its trade war.

Should the Reich need any economic assitance during the transition the Asgard Empire would be more than happy to provide it. We salute your wise and moral decision.

The Freemen/bondmen/lovebound of the Free Floater Republics realize that abandoning the old customs of bondage and freedom-theft can be hard, and applaude your desision to do so. Public opinion throughout the Floater Clusters is turing in your favor.

The advanced biosciences of the Floater Republics allow us to alter our bodies and chemistry in extreme ways. Perhaps we could alter these "Berzerkers" and cure them of their affliction.
Such an opportunity would benefit not only the Fenari, but your people and mine, for such scientific cooperation would expand both of our research.

If the Fenari agree, we will begin joint operations immediatly.

<Part of the problem with the Berzerker strain is that it is one of the "Changes" that our creators imparted on us, it is known that all males eventually succum to the affliction, but it takes time. Female Berzerkers are very rare, and use of the "Sacrament" plant can bring it about prematurely. We are presently not sure if your technology is sufficiant to reverse something so closely linked to the basics of our artificial biology?>

Genemodding can be EXTREMELY extensive. Floaters grow redwoods in zero G, have strains of bacterium which turn comet ice into breathable air and potable water, and Floaters themselves have taken base human stock and made them able to survive in hard radiation. Genemodding is an extremely potent technique.

Err, ok, it's not entirely true, but Floaters live in a high-radiation environment. Not like a reactor core, but like the surface of the moon, (outside of the Van Allen radiation belts) with no bad side effects. This is largely due to regenrative properties and cancer-fighting alterations.

<The population of Hectae is dominated by a more mechintile aspect, and has the lagest "problem" with "Berzerker" males, however the military colony on Daemonheim, feels a need to remain ever vigilant against the threat of Kzin or "False God" return, however, in consideration to your respectfull assistance, they have opted for allowing their insane to be released into the "Wilderness" area of Daemonhiem (Which is still inhabited by creatures that the Kzin brought in for hunting, and feral descendants of the Kzin who choose to flee there when the packs sucessfully blockaded the planet.)

Thus you will be getting volunteers from Hectae and some from Fenris, but the pack clans of Daemonheim have refused.>

Excellent. Work will begin at once. May the peace of the Void be with you, and your afflicted brothers and sisters.

We will need a gene map for your species to speed up the process...Other wise we have to do it ourselves and that could be time consuming

The rights of the individual are secondary to the greater tasks at hand. Sometimes personal freedom must be sacrificed upon the altar of need. The ATJ does not recognise this treaty.

Pack animals are obviously not afforded the same rights as sentient beings. Further information concerning these Froyts would not be amiss, however.
They are creatures biologically created by the Raians. They cannot reproduce on their own, they must be created by magic.
They are intelligent enough to perform unskilled labor, and aren't intelligent enough to get bored. They are largely biological constructs that serve in the same roles that robots do on Earth.

All major powers use robotic workers of different sorts- how are ogranic constructs any different? they aren't sentient...

It i the concept. True we use robots...but those are living beathing creatures... dnt know, gut instinct, it just strikes me as wrong from the outset...Before I truly formulate an opinion, are they self aware?

I just see it as akin to keeping your slaves stupid so they dont know any better. Though I suppose that the Floaters are right in this instance.

Setzer wrote:The Raian republic agrees with the anti-slavery treaty, as long as Slavery is defined according to the Republic's criteria:

1. Forced and involuntary servitude of a sentient species.
2. Any sentient laborer that recieves no financial compensation for his work.

As Froyts are only semi-sentient, and their labor is neither forced nor involuntary, under Raian law they are not defined as slaves. Labor is simply their role in the Republic.
The new nation of Whats left will join under those terms.

This from the self proclaimed "Minister of Sin." And they aren't a complete species. Species are capable of reproducing. Froyts are as anatomically deficient as a Ken doll. Froyts are build, not born
