OOC: 1.2 billion rounds for 2 million rifles is nothing, your troops will shoot off that much ammo doing basic training with the things.

The 1.2 billion rounds are just a bonus, he can always purchase more ammo and he'll also get production facilities with which he can produce as much ammo as he wants.Sea Skimmer wrote:OOC: 1.2 billion rounds for 2 million rifle is nothing, your troops will shoot off that much ammo doing basic training with the things.

FNSS Defense Systems is now offering the BXP-20-FSV fire support vehicle with the MGM-390 tactical missile system for export. The system fire submuntion, unitary, guided submuntion, anti armor and other missile types to a range of fifty kilometers. The forty round VLS system can also be purchased as a separate modular or towed unit.

Sounds good. I'll buy it, a certain degree of standardisation might also be useful regarding our military alliance.Sea Skimmer wrote:FNS Defense Systems is now offering the BXP-20-FSV fire support vehicle with the MGM-390 tactical missile system for export. To President Phongn of the NAU:
Since the Cluster of Kharam, one of the major centers of Floater civilization is in a system which also contains a major NAU colony, we would like to offer the following cohabitation treaty to the NAU
The Kharamite Templar Navy and the Kharamite Militia will act to defend the people of the Alpha Centauri system, both Floater and Heavy. A floater naval officer would rather shoot himself than the innocent citizens of the Alpha Centauri system. Unless we make any long term agreements, Kharamite units will confine their efforts to the Alpha Centauri system, but you have the assurances of all four of the Free Floater Republics- Kharam will fight to defend those it shares the Alpha Centauri system with.
All Floater republics will sign a non-agression pact with the NAU.
As for mining rights, the Republic of Kharam needs to harvest comets from the Alpha Centauri system's Oort cloud for it's survival. Otherwise, we would like to reserve the rights to, say, 1/2 of the mineral wealth of the system's asteroids, and 1/2 of the wealth of any rings planets in the Alpha Centauri system have.
The only other request we have is that a 1 AU area around the cluster of Kharam herself, which contains the Womb, remains free of all Heavy presence. Heavy vessels entering this area will be searched and then expelled from the immediate area. The Womb is a major religeous artifact, and one of the centers of Floater civilization. Free Trade is of course a given- all vessels are welcome at Floater ports, and trade stations outside the exclusion area around the Womb will facilitate trade in the area.
We will modify the terms as necessary, President Phongn- it is vital that we of the Free Republics enter relative peace with those we chare systems with.

ATTN: Floater Diplomatic Staff
FROM: NAU Office of the President, NAU Department of Foreign Affairs
RE: Agreements
At this time, the North American Union declines to enter a non-agression pact with the Floater Republics. We feel that with the relative peace between our nations it is unneccessary.
Recognizing the religious significance of Kharam, the NAU will acede to your request of a 1 AU-diameter exclusion zone around the Womb.
The NAU will not enter an agreement that will limit either of our powers' mineral rights within Alpha Centauri.

Excellent. Peace is our only goal, with the North American Union.
The only reason we made such a suggestion was because our previous cohabitation agreements have shown us that many heavies want everything parceled up in neat little treaty packages. We prefer to see the resources of space as belonging to everyone. The NAU will not enter an agreement that will limit either of our powers' mineral rights within Alpha Centauri.
The Free Floater Republics rejoice, and we hope this agreement can assure close ties between the unbound and the terrestrial nation which spawned us.
The North American Union mandates "explorationary rights" with regard to mining. Any mining within the NAU EEZ is subject to tax, but the Government does not mine save for naval logistics operations.
Therefore, any power or corporation may mine within the NAU EEZ so long as they pay the requisite tax to the American government.

The Senate offers a non-aggression to the North American Union.

The system can be bought mounted on the BXP-20 vehicle, but the towed launcher is cheaper, as is the modular box launcher which can be mounted on most anything of suitable size. It is ideal for updating obsolete armor to become excellent fire support for your forces of all types.

The Cluster of Kharam has been in the Alpha Centauri system for as long as your colony has been there. Why is the system yours, and not jointly owned? The North American Union mandates "explorationary rights" with regard to mining. The Kelian Alliance's past efforts have shown them to be friendly and compotent. Your current alliance with the Republic of Mohaim will be expanded to include all Free Floater Republics. May the peace of the Void be with you, Brother!Due to the Floater Republic's peaceful, valiant and benevelont actions toward the Kelia Alliance, the Kelia Alliance wishes to propose the signing of a general mutual protection pact with the Floater Republic.
[OOC: We never declared our EEZ, remember? Presumably it'd take into account that the CoK has been there as long as you have]Thirdfain wrote:The Cluster of Kharam has been in the Alpha Centauri system for as long as your colony has been there. Ah, ok! sorry about the misunderstanding. Since the Cluster of Kharam exists in the Alpha Centauri system, and relies on comets mined form the Oort cloud to provide warter, air, and reactor fule, and relies on asteroid mining to construct the dreamships, we would like you to allow Floater vessels to operate in the Alpha Centauri system without paying NAU taxes.
As the original Treaty of Khar at the founding of Liberty Colony and the Cluster of Kharam has taken this into consideration, you have nearly half the system that is free from any American taxation.Thirdfain wrote:Ah, ok! sorry about the misunderstanding. (Essentially, the NAU says that it does not have exclusive rights to minerals in the NAU EEZ section of Alpha Centauri, but can tax them. What you do with the CoK EEZ is your thing]

The treaty will be honored. Peace of the Void be with you!
-keep in minds that the Kharamite section of the system is considered "Free space." you may what you please in it. We make no claims to economic exclusion zones. Floater vessels will pay taxes on minerals or water they harvest from your sections of the system.

The Fenari technology is derivative from that of the "false gods" but greatly depowered over time since the Fenari were "Abandoned" by their creators. While the Fenari understand the wormhole technology to make FTL travel and communication possible they are using it at a very primative level. While thier Fusion Beam, gauss & missile weapons are fairly universal.
The Kzin are armeded as well as their counterparts in the Man Kzin series, and do possess FTL drives, and superior interial dampeners enanbling their fighters a good tactical advantage. Fenari destroyers are designed to kill Kzin fighters, and not much else.

Patriarchy disposition
The Fenari second third major world happens to exist in close proximaty to a naturally occuring "Gateway" to the space controlled by the Patriarchy. Both sides of the gateway are heavily mined and guarded, by their respective forces.
The Patriarchy has not made a move on Fenari space in a number of years. (Raids through jump cabable ships yes, invasions no)

The Republic of Tho'a-hal
History:
Although the information about the true origin of the Republic of Tho'a-hal and how it came to be are vague and often contradictory (some believe that the settlers were originally a colony fleet of the True Home that got lost in hyperspace and ended up in an unknown galaxy, while other believe that the original settlers were exiles banished from the True Home), it is know that the world that is now the capital world of the Republic was originally terraformed and tamed by 2 million hardworking bodies 1351 years ago. It was decided that every year that has passed since is measured as "Since Republic" (or SR).
Despite the fact that they are not inherently aggressive people, and their small home defense fleet kept pirates and smugglers under control and mostly out of the Dah'naw system, a great change sweep through the Republic in 957 SR when it found itself under attack by a hostile reptilian race called "Dinos". In the Republic's first real war since it's establishment, the civilian and military losses was in the tens of millions, but eventually the Republic of Tho'a-hal Navy pushed the attackers out.
In the following years, the RTN's forces was massively boosted as the Republic went into full production mode, and was further supplimented when blueprints for ships and technology (far more advanced than anything else they had at the time) that nobody had previously known about was recovered from the archives. When the Dinos attacked again in 1008 SR, with at least 2/3 of their entire military force, they were quickly crushed and sent running by the military might of the vastly improved RTN.
Ever since their victory over the Dinos (who, according to traders, has since been wiped off the face of the universe by payback from some of their past victims), the Republic of Tho'a-hal and the RTN has maintained full military readiness in case they ever came under attack, and this has paid off many times in the past.
Specie:
The Republic of Tho'a-hal's people are known as the "Si'dhe". The Si'dhe as a species typically appear to be fairly attractive humans, but otherwise with very little external difference, and they are in fact even very similar genetically to humans. The adult Sid'he range in height between 1.4 to 1.8 meters tall, and their most outwardly noticeable traits as a species is that they can have hair and eye colour of every colour in the visible light spectrum (though black/brown/blonde and brown/blue are the most common, respectively).
One side effect to the planet Tho'a-hal's heavy gravity, their natural dexterity, and the Republic's constant military readiness is that the Sid'he are naturally very strong, agile and fully acclimatised to operating in Zero-G environments. Their highly efficient metabolism and immune system also give them accelerated healing.
Also, the Si'dhe's aging process has them growing to the end of their puberty at about normal human rate, but once there their aging slows down to about a quarter of normal human aging, giving them a natural average life span of up to approximately 325 years, and as a side effect allows combat veterns to stay in action and keep their experience in the pool longer. As something of a natural balance, the Si'dhe doesn't reproduce as quickly as humans.
Government:
The Republic of Tho'a-hal is a democratic government, with the President and the Council of Twelve (the oversight committee which makes sure presidental powers are no abused) voted in by popular elections, all candidates are of course nominated based on merits. And if nothing else, the Republic is heavy on Sentient Rights. Although they maintain their military readiness at all times, the Republic does not believe in aggressive territorial expansion, and also believes in free trade.
The Republic allows passage of ships that does not belong to hostile governments to freely go through it's main sphere of influence (10 lightyears radius around the star Dah'naw), though only under the condition that ships must declare their presence and intent, while the RTN has full right to board and inspect any ship in the sphere on request. One rule that will be very strictly enforced is that no armed ships can come closer than 2 lightyears radius of Dah'naw without permission. Also, any aggressive acts within the Republic's main sphere of influence will be dealt with harshly, and pirates should expect no mercy.
Territories:
(Capital World) Tho'a-hal - Population approx. 10 billion
(Military Academy) Etep'yno - Population approx. 2 billion
(Mining Colony) Aquinn - Population approx. 500 million
(Mining Colony) Hinesica - Population approx. 500 million
Military:
The ships of the Republic of Tho'a-hal are usually unattractive, as they are generally made base solely on their purpose. The Republic's combat capable ships are generally made for as close to a perfect balance between speed, agility, offense and defense as physically possible within their class. The Republic of Tho'a-hal Navy is split into two parts, the Regular Fleet and the Home Defense Fleet.
The Regular Fleet is in charge of general space activities within the Republic, while the Home Defense Fleet (with the most experience crew, and the ships equipped with the most advanced technology of the RTN) is normally kept hidden and brought out only in the most dire of circumstances.
RTN Regular Fleet
Frigate - 60
Hvy Frigate - 48
Destroyer - 42
Hvy Destroyer - 36
Cruiser - 24
Battlecruiser - 18
Battleship - 12
RTN Home Defense Fleet
160 capital ships, and the exact make up being confidential, but it is similar to Regular Fleet (though tilted more towards the heavier end of the scale)
=====
I hope I haven't jumped into this too late, and I hope the above is considered (mostly) satisfactory. I will post more details on the ships when I get around to working them out. Constructive criticism will very welcome.
EDIT: Accidentally left in something from before I rewrote the Specie bit (which didn't make much sense in the new context that it was it), it has now been chopped out. Also fixed up a few spelling & grammar mistakes while I was at it.

Quite an extremely large order, FNSS Defense Systems is very enthusiastic. This will allow an expansion of the production line and the full order should be shipped directly to your system within 15 weeks. We now come to the matter of payment; an order of that size with a basic missile load out will cost some 7.1 billion-Kokand currency units.
However the Kokand goverment would be willing to finance part of the costs to be repaid in material rather then.

Excellent, these examples can be shipped within the week, the pricetag is 7.5 million Kokand currency units.FBHthelizardmage wrote:
