I haven't gone into Philly for a few weeks so I don't know how Chinatown there is doing, but I'd imagine 'not well' would be a pretty accurate description.

Mike, can you say that during the SARS scare, a Chinese restaurant lost such and such in profits?

It isn't the feds who take away TO's money, it's the fucking tories.

The provincial government has fucked TO up. Hell, the hospitals here didn't have good masks until the feds gave them 10,000 after SARS became big.

Only about a hundred bucks. It's the principle of the thing more than the quantity of money. I have NOT gotten good value for my tax dollar, and to pay even a dime more is piling insult upon injury.

The numbers worked out to something like 44,000% over budget for government funding. The original plan called for the Canadian government to pay just two million dollars, with the rest covered by fees.
