Why are we assuming that it's some fantastic feat to take out a Klingon in hand to hand combat? They're idiots, remember? I don't recall Kira ever employing any fantastic fighting moves or demonstrating unusual strength or speed. Her opponents were just pathetic.

I don't think this is so easily determined. Kira is a resistance fighter, while Padme has had formal combat training (see the TPM novelization). In real life, someone with military training beats a terrorist.
