And how exactly would that work? After all, the mythos basically says the same thing that science has been telling us for quite some time: we are insignificant specks in a uncaring sea of nothing. The mythos just ups the ante by saying that there are beings that actually DO matter to the universe, we aren't them, and they treat us no better than the universe itself.Alyrium Denryle wrote:I woud try to stop it...by using the Cthulhu mythos to my advantage...

I can't somehow suppose that Lovecraft's mythos could be real.
(After all, this is the mythology of a man who had an irrational fear of the sea, considered Postum [a grain-bases coffee substitute popular in the first half of the 20th century] as good as regular coffee and refused to live in cities without Victorian architecture)
But it's philosophical dilemmae like this he probably intended to pretend. If we suspend disbelief, I.... no, really. It's really mind-boggling.

"No, actually I would HATE to have a cookie, you vapid waste of inedible flesh!"
