Seriously though, as mostly male gamers do we appreciate having the complimentary babe characters to play with? Such as in Starcraft the medic and valkeyrie pilot.. grrrrr. Or the rogue in Diablo? Or the ninja-looking girls from Soldier of Fortune?

Call me old fashioned, but Ms. Croft has always set my dogs a'barkin'.

Especially since my ex GF once told me that Angelina Jolie was so attractive she would have gone bi for her...

Better I doubt it...and Juni is a cutie...and better formed(sorry Croft still is a tad bit too large.)

Plus Juni is one of the few female characters with a decent ass. And when it comes to asses, Juni's is spectacular.

Pah. You're all horribly mistaken. Simply the best game female is Elain (IIRC) from the Monkey Island games.

Yes, but only if they don't try to replace gameplay with CG tittilation (unless we're talking about "hentai" games, where it's pretty much a case of "what gameplay?").

Well it's not a good sign if you have to rely on boobs to sell the game, but I'm all for hot chicks as a treat for gamers. Kind of like how good graphics should never come at the expense of gameplay.

I think Sakura in CnC Renegade is amusing as the comments that Havoc makes are so wonderfully inappropriate.

Not neccessarily. Look at Space Quest III. The closest thing you had to a girl was Elmo Pug. Enough said. Or Castlevania III. Sure, Sypha was a girl, but she always wore those heavy robes. Not exactly the most stunning of cover girls.

I personally don't think attractive female characters really affect my opinion of a game, but they are good eye candy at times. Video games have the advantage of being able to make women as attractive as they want.

Bah. Not only does the so-called "new" engine devolve the experience down to Spectrum level, the series has plainly lost all its former spirit of innovation and humor. If I had any tears left for Monkey Island, I'd shed them now.
