I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

Yup. At the very least it's an awsome photo op.

I'm not watching it, better things on. It seems that he initially wanted to fly out in an F/A-18 but the Secret Service vetoed the idea. Viking's still better then a Greyhound though.

Twas slightly cool. He scored many a political point with it. Bet that pilot felt the spot light on his way in too.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

It was more impressive when Putin landed in Chechnya in an SU-27 derivative.

I would have been better if it was President John McCain on that aircraft.

Too bad that a Silkworm would be easily shot down by the CVBG's air-defenses

Or optical AAA on Israeli missile boats or just about anything else for that matter. Though it's questionable that you even need to shoot at them, Iran fired a number against merchant ships in the gulf and only got around 30% hits.

Lets not let the fact that a single Tico was designed to defeat just such a scenario single handily, and the there are several of them in every CVBG get your way.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Repelling requires that your going down a wall of some sort, just sliding down a rope from a hovering aircraft is called fast roping.

Actually you can free-rappel. Its just a touch more fiddly, I've had to do it before a few times. You have to work damn hard to keep your balance so you don't tip and drop straight out of your fucking harness.
