Is there any reason for them to be different colours and stuff for the different races?

But there is something about them that pisses me off. During Kirk and Spock's time, it took maybe 10 seconds to fully materiaze. Then, during TNG it was a little faster, which makes sense because the technology has improved. Then in Voyager, beaming up took about two seconds... I guess that makes sense...
In Enterprise, their transporters take about the same amount of time to materialize that they took in Voyager? WTF?

Hadn't noticed that. In ENT they should take upwards of 30 seconds to work seeing as it is brand new technology.Superman wrote:But there is something about them that pisses me off. Now, they could fix this little problem by having a massive transport accident in which people are melded together (not like the Voyager episode) and the pile of flesh that was people dies. They then realize they were transporting way to fast and that they were all VERY lucky to have survived as long as they did. From that point forward the process takes 15-20 seconds to beam people up.

Then they could use time dialation events. Even better, they could use shuttles like normal and just show launch then landing. There are things they could do to make it seem long while not wasting the time.

They need to have the same error as in Galaxy Quest.
