Just out of curiosity, I'd like to know what DarkStar does for a living. My profile makes it quite plain that I am a soldier in the US Army, and what I haven't made plain is that I've been an officer for nearly a decade. That means that I have some grasp of tactical, operational and strategic military operations. So........my posts tend to lead more toward the military aspects of Star Wars.

Many others here are either in grade school (and yes I count HS as another grade school) or college, while some, like myself, actually engage in an occupation or trade. That makes us specialists in those occupations to some degree. To the point ... if there is no issue in revealing his trade, I would be interested in seeing what the man behind the name of "DarkStar" does for a living. That would help to lend to (or remove from) credibility within his posts.

Just so I am also plain as to where I stand, I am very pro-Star Wars and have been since I first saw Episode IV in the theater in 77, when I was a young'n. On the other hand, I am not anti-Star Trek, although the new stuff seems little more than bad soap opera material to me. I can find no overwhelming reason for y'all to boot DarkStar, for I find many of his posts entertaining, and I truly enjoy watching others react to him as if he had leprosy. To see someone buck the trend and endure massive abuse as a result bespeaks highly of him, but perhaps that's just the iconoclast within me talking. At any rate, that's my opinion.

Almost the entire board hates darkstar so they storm in "what do you mean "is"? "
This maddness continues now debating what Darkstar says (and how he says it) instead of the evidence behind it.
Flame war explodes and the issue at hand is ignored.

Its sad that this happens but there you go.

I would also point out Wong that Darkstar didnt hijack the thread It was either me (for responding to KAN), KAN for asking me a question based upon another thread or several others who responded to what I said about the other thread when I asked them to take response to the other thread (this group includes Darkstar).

Personally, I think banning him woud be good for Robbie. Take a look at his posting history. He posts Unibomber Maifestos here, at ASVS, at sb.com, and at his website, nearly EVERY DAY. If he had one less forum to spew his blatant falsehoods in, he may actually have to take stock in himself. He'd realize what a pathetic, sad little man he is.
