Ok, version 2.0 of the Outworlds Alliance ORBAT is now available on page 5. The changes are as follows:

*Added the Martyr-II class Carrier.

...And that's it.

I don't think so. If you want to field 400 warships, they should be mostly smaller vessels (corvettes, frigates, destroyers.) with maybe 10-20 percent of your vessels being capital and supercapital class. Alternitively, if you want more large vessels, scale your fleet down from the 400 limit. My fleet is mostly (2/3 rds) cruiser-sized warships (with a mix of antifighter gunships.) As payment, I'm taking only around 300 ships total. If you want to have an all-dreadnought fleet, please, restrict your numbers furthur. I guess 50 Dreadnoughts or battleships wouldn't be too bad, if that's all you had...
Yeah. Out of 398, I have 14 large cap ships, 24 cruisers, 24 sensor ships, 120 destroyers, and 216 frigates. Someone's got to protect those big ships, and loads of point defense or thousands of fighters won't do the job by themselves. You need point-defense, fighter screens, and supporting small cap ships. No point defense, and you get torpedoed with extreme prejudice. No fighter screens, and you get torpedoed from close range with extreme prejudice. No supporting cap ships, and the enemy's small capships will decimate your fighters and then, you guessed it, you get torpedoed with extreme prejudice. Either that or cruiser sized ships like my "Great White" class will out-maneuver the behemoths and pound them into oblivion.

I only have 6 Dreadnaughts and 10 battleships. My super-capital classes are the only ones designed to be able to hold their own in battle and I only have 15 of them. A balanced fleet doesn't neccessarilly mean that all fleets have to have the same make up. There are major flaws in the way I've set my fleet up, but there are also major advantages. Neither of which I'm going to spell out for you. I'll tell you one thing though, there is no situation in which you're going to encounter all of them in one battle.

I've been STGODing on ASVS for quite some time now, so I can tell you from experience that lack of flexibility is a horrendous weakness. Tactical and strategic initiative is far more important then the actual fleet composition.

No more tactical hyperspacing in mid battle then I take it?
