Personally I use WinMX (I prefer it to other options). I know there are others like Kazaa and Grokster.. but what do you prefer?

And eventually, I will post my eclectic mix of artists (and some of them you'd never expect from me, I can tell you that much).

I use WinMX. Hell i'm using it as i type. I want as much music as i can get before the RIAA facists seed all Peer-To-Peer networks with virus's and shit to try and kill them.

I wonder if it ever occured to the RIAA that the easiest way to solve the piracy via MP3 crisis was to drop the price of CD's. It'll be a lot cheaper in the long run.

I go back and forth between KaZaa and WinMX. Some things are easier to find on WinMX (like non-mutilated copies of popular music), and some things are easier to find on KaZaa (like more obscure music).

So....yeah. Can't really vote for one, since I go pretty much 50/50 with them both.

I use Kazaa (and am right now. Regina Hall Masturbates.mpg, 22 minutes left :D). I used WinMX once, but I only got one song before it went to hell. Now it fails everytime I try to download something. Reinstalling doesn't help.

Of course, I must give props to my first: mIRC.

EDIT: Kazaa Lite, that is.

I tend to use Limewire or Direct Connect. Direct Connect is usually better for larger files (movies/videos) and more obscure stuff. Limewire is OK for popular stuff IF you get a good connection and if you remember to filter out the host with all the adverts/dummy files.

ditto, only I use K++ (basically Kazaa Lite with the ranking system cracked so it always stays at 1000)

*cough*

Kazaa Lite. Great stuff. All the files and stuff you could ever want, minus all the spyware.

Kazaa v1 w/ fake spyware DLL and stripped of spyware manually (don't trust Kazaa Lite). Very rarely do I use it though. Used to use gnucleus though (gnutella client).

My friend (*cough*Spanky*cough*) said that WinMX was better than Kazaalite for DLing anime, but I haven't been able to find anything other than raw or with Chinese subtitles. I'll stick with Kazaalite for anime, but WinMX is cool for mp3s.

Bittorrent works best, but its only for unlisenced anime. Meaning once a company buys the rights you can't get it anymore :P

Today while I was gone I left it up to continue to download stuff and when I came back I had this PM

All neutering Kazaa does is remove the spyware. The spyware allows marketing companies to watch you so they can send you spam. It also slows down your computer and makes things seriously unstable. The PM you got is part of a new initiative started by the RIAA to try to spook people out of sharing music.
