Xena Warrior Princess versus Buffy the vampire slayer
Both have what they USUALLY carry.
Xena - Sword and her Chakram
Buffy-Wooden Stakes

Buffy's got slayer strength, yet Xena killed gods. Buffy can take on the undead every night, but Xena could take on whole armies by herself and win.

Who wins the fight?

I'd say it's a tough choice, since both have some of the almightiest character shields in existance, not even several deaths keep them down.
But I'll go for Buffy, because I hate Xena, her series was turned into an advertisment for Christianity. So there.

As a rabid Buffy fan (RBF) I'd like to inform you that your take on buffy is underestimating her abilities.

As a slayer she has the following abilities:

Slayer Healing Powers: Buffy recovers from major injuries very quickly. Examples: She was partially drained and nearly drowned by the Master, yet after being resustiated, she was ready to kick his ass. She Also recovered quickly from being sucked dry by angel. After a transfusion and some rest, she was ready to take on a 60ft upper level Snake demon.

Super Strength and Fighting Skills: She posses inate knowledge of various combat techniques and how to use various (medieval) weapons. Her deadlift is somewhere around 1200lbs (Makeing her pound for pound the strongest Sci-fi female I know of...too bad their aren't that many pounds of her)

Super Durability: She's able to not only suvive but RUN away after falling 3 stories out a window. She's surivived being hit by a pickup-truck without a scratch. When fighting other slayers (Kendra, Faith) She only recieves some minor bruses.

Supernatural "Spider Sense": Isn't as reliable as Spidey's, but it does work.

Ability to jump high: she is able to jump at least 9ft straight up (without a running start).

Unlike other slayers, she's been shown to posses some minor forms of "psychic abilities": Precognitive Dreams, knowing/realizing things that few other people do/feelings of Deja vu (Hardly extrodinary when compared to the precognitive dreams).

I didn't really watch Xena that often so I cannot comment nor can I vote without all the data.

What I do know is that she is the daughter of Ares (making her a demi-god) she is strong (Deadlift unknown), able to jump great distances (Unknown distance) and is well trained with various weapons.

I cannot say which would win, I'd probably vote for B, just because I am a fan, but I hold my vote until someone can give me a detailed list of Xena's Abilities.

Though I Should mention that the weapons difference heavily favores Xena. A fairer fight would be with both unarmed. Even though Xena only pulls out a weapon when her opponent does as far as I know.

And one more thing, I forgot to mention:

The Deadlift limit I extrapilated from the fact that her sprintig speed aproaches 40mph - a feat Xena has not duplicated. also worth of note: my number may be invalide considering she lifted a medieval-style metal gate, i believe it is called a portcullis, approx. 11ft tall, 8ft across (she lifted it with a great deal of difficulty, and only lifted it approx. 3 and a half to 4ft off the ground. I guess the measurments because I haven't seen the ep in a while, and I can't find any screengrabs at this time.

And you know...If Xena and Wonder Woman did exist I the same universe...they might be half-sisters.

Yeah, they both are daughters of Ares, however via the Hippolyte connection WW is also related to Hera, by way of the furies.

Now Donna Troy (Formerly known as Wonder Girl) is actually WW's clone, and in the current timeline the WWII Wonder Woman is actually Hippolyte, that was doinking Steve Trever.

I have to agree. Xena has faced more powerful foes than Buffy, like Ares and Hercules (who she would have beaten had it not been for outside interference) and won, plus she has killed gods and goddesses before, so Buffy will not be anything new for her, plus she has far more experience and is more in control of her emotions.

Xena is the victor.

Which doesn't really compare to Xena defeats of gods. She had to take on full power gods and won, while Glory had to be weakened down by Willow and the Dagon Sphere, hit with a wrecking ball, and nearly beaten to death with the weapon of a god for Buffy to win, and also keep in mind Glory wasn't exactly in possession of all her powers either.

Which is more impressive, defeating and killing nearly an entire pantheon of fully-powered gods, or defeating, with a lot of help, one defrocked goddess?

Xena has killed Callisto (in Goddess form) and...damn...I know their's another one.

Xena is also a very battle hardened woman.

too bad Buffy actually seems to draw strength FROM her emotions (As she explained to fellow Slayer Kendra in "Who's Line is it Anyway Part 2" (Second Season).

Besides which, just because two characters are called "Gods" in different worlds does not mean that they are equal to each other.

Add into the fact that the only way to kill a god in Xena's world is with a Hindsblood, an armament Buffy did not have access to when she fought the Demon-God (Goddess?) Glory. with a weapon like that, one good hit is all that is needed. And Buffy has been able to get in a hit or two on Glory. (Eps: Season 5, "No Place Like Home", "Crush", "The Gift" to name a few.). If one were to assume that both Gods had similar "Power Levels".

Ya know...I think I'm the only one who takes this thing in any form of seriousness.
