I should *not* be selected because I am almost finished watching my own copy. I have the last two episodes left to watch and then one more commentary.

By the way, the commentary with Bruce Boxleitner, Jerry Doyle and Claudia Christian is pretty funny. I'd swear they were half ripped from
being at a convention when they taped that. :)

HemlockGrey, how old are you? I got a job at 14 (I'm now 15) in Massachusetts, but I can't work longer than 2 hours on weekdays because I can't work more than 8 hours a day at a job or school. I wonder if that sentence is disjointed, I'm too tired to tell. Oh, and this is the first time I ever got to say this to anyone, ever:
13. I was going to get a job as a caddy, but the waiting list was four miles long and I have to wait three years before a spot opens up.

Well, a long long long long time ago, before the wind, before the snow, there was B5 on Scifi channel at a reasonable time every day! Things were good. But after Season 1 ended, those filthy whoresons decided to put it on at 9 AM! Please! I neeed to know what happens!

Plus, if you give it to me, I will personally construct a small temple in downtown Manhattan in your honour.

Merely touching something that was once in your possession will give me a sense of personal enlightenment that many refer to as "the touch of god", or an acid trip, O Greatest of Men.

I will spread the Word of Wong to everyone I know, spamming them with links to the site (or just the Creationism one for non-scifi fans) when necessary.

I will personally come and retrieve them and dance for you, if you should so desire.

I will post a lot more and generate lots of interesting, thought-provoking conversation! Honest injun!

I never win anything! Ever! Even those little contests in elementary school where everyone's supposed to win once! Nothin' ever goes right for ol' Matt....

And did I mention...

Darth Wong wrote: So, post here to explain why you think you deserve my extra B5 2nd season DVD set!!! Winner will be selected by Monday, and gets it mailed to him, no strings attached.
To say why I deserve it...I've been a fan since the first season, and a devoted fan since the second season. I have spent a small fortune and considerable time studying the technology and writing pages and pages of HTML documents to make my studies available online. Most of that time, my images have been "grainy and ugly," as Tigreclaws once told me. I have been eager to get B5 on DVD for years, not only to have a good archive to enjoy for decades to come (I have nearly all of them on *tape*), but mostly so that I can improve my webpages to the level that I can be more proud of them. Maybe people will enjoy them more with prettier images and videos.
Furthermore, I have been a devoted friend for many years - mid-1997 I'd suppose. And I'm a darn nice guy.
That is why I *deserve* it, if such a thing could be said about me.
My wife is watching season 1 for the second time with me now. We have 3 seasons of TNG, which was one of her favorites growing up, but nearly every night she asks "Can we watch B5?" :)
So, I've already got my copy. It came from DVDplanet yesterday. So, someone else probably *needs* it more than I do.
BTW, it is nice of you to do this for your fans. That clock you sent me as a wedding present is still running on the same batteries! It must be a perpetual motion machine! :)

Well, there are people on this board who have made much more compelling arguments for getting the set, but I'd like to get it for a friend of mine, since she just got a DVD player and since I've been largely giving away my worldly possessions recently, it would make a much better thing than what I had planned (my They Might Be Giants and Barenaked Ladies CDs, plus my other DVDs, but those are really community property amongst my pals).

Plus, it would be a nice thing to add to the DVD Temple of Doom we are working on. :)

Hm, does the training and ability to take the Rangers on in hand to hand combat count as a good enough reason? I can easily take 4 or so armed opponents when I've a polearm....

In addition, I'm a huge Babylon 5 fan....(I did my Higher English RPR based on a look at the links between various novels and B5, most noteably Lord of the Rings....)....hmm......what else can I say?

Besides Mike - consider it a donation to a worthy cause. And IIRC, Didn't Brian share some rather nice computer hardware with you some time back? :P

Darn it! I didn't see this post, and that is exactly what I did! :)

Most European DVD-players can play NTSC discs, at least mine does, and those that have DVD-drives for their computers can watch NTSC discs on their computers.

As for the B5 2nd season DVDs... I'm not a big B5 fan, good show and all, but nothing special, So I don't even want it, but I quess you could give it to me just to piss off the people that actualy do.

Or Ted or Andrew. My DVD player is skipping pretty badly. It wouldn't be fair to season 2 to play it like that! :)

Absofragginlutely nothing you dried dip-shit.

Now that has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but a) It is insightful and b) funny. I get 10 extra bonus points. Therefore that is why I deserve the Babylon 5 DVD. :P
