The Italian Job

Post by Admiral Valdemar »

Or not.

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0317740

I knew it was this year, but it seems already too soon that this piece of plagiarized garbage should be coming out.

Does anyone seriously think this is a bit too far in the case of remakes?

YES, YES, a thousand times YES!

I don't care how it turns out or what they do to it, it's the Italian Job. It's a film legend as far as I'm concerned, Michael Caine, Noel Coward, Toilets, Minis, Jails, fantastic Music, great ending, there is no way in hell these people can improve it, it's a classic British caper film and im my opinion can not be improved...

They touch that film and I'm coming after them with all my Moosey Legions...

EDIT: arghh... the Italian Job... but in Los Angeles? Need I say more?

Not quite as wrong as the Stallone remake of Get Carter a few years back. Still this has to be one of the worst ideas to come out of Hollywood in some time. What the hell were the producers thinking trying to remake such a classic film?

More money?

Still rewriting a good oldie is better then some of the *new* ideas.

My friend's seen it and said that it was fairly decent. Of course she hasn't seen the original. But I'm witholding judgement until I've seen it.

I'll have to ignore her review given her lack of seeing the original. It's not worth anything if you haven't seen what it's based on.
