The one thing i liked about I, Jedi was seeing that Jedi do have to recharge Libhtsabers. I can just imagine them being like cell/mobile phones.

Jedi "Prepare to die Sith Scum"

Sith "Actually can we duel later i'm down to the last bar on my saber"

jedi "No problem, aren't sabers a bitch, always run out when you need them"

Maybe that was just me. I'm on my funny half hour. Funily enough my funny half hour has lasted 15 years. :P

I actually have the trilogy of that. *cough* I picked it up in hardcover for $3 at Barnes & Noble for shits and giggles.
Unfortunately since they're not Infinities or SW Tales, they have some slot in continuity somewhere.

No they don't, because events in them conflict directly with offical material, such as Han and Leia's wedding. I recall an offical announcement about how the kiddie SW trilogys were not to be considered as actually happening, or something to that effect.

A whole source is not discarded because of a single discrepency. Are all souces about particle beams and blasters tossed out because the ICS2 says they are massless beams? No. One contradiction does not invalidate a whole argument--WEG's many bullshit errors do not contradict the non-bullshit stats.

And there was no such announcement.

Interestingly enough, Triclops (what a shitty name) is in the Star Wars Guide of Characters, or whatever it's called.

Ahhhh...greating HDS. Long time and absolutly no see...

I dunno, I though the idea of having the HUTTS (christ and hunter, they probably thought it was some sort of food!) build a death star. Funny.

The "Tales From..." books had some pretty good short stories. And I liked Han Solo at Star's End.

No... he's not. He butchers established characters, his plot are filling with fanwank garbage, his dialogue could make Lucas' look like Oscar material, and all his new orginal characters come off as if they were special ed kids. The only thing that could be said about him is he's got the scale of the Universe down right.

As far as the forgotten books are concerned they were forgotten for a reason and I'm more than willing to let them stay that way.

Yes. Those are the only SW books ever to be termed "apocryphal," as opposed to official or even canon, in the case of the novelizations.

I kinda liked Planet of Twilight...

I, Jedi was, in fact, good. We need more first-person Jedi. Colorme wimpy, but Truce at Bakura always made me *twitch*, especially the bit where the kid's strapped in and paralized and all that. Ick.

edited because unlike my usual bb, 0 size font is not happy.

Egads. Has anybody else noticed the unfortunate trend of Hutts being the most widely abused and poorly written characters in the EU? I mean, has there ever been an instance where a Hutt has been well-written? What makes these characters so hard to pull off?
