Superman, don't take this the wrong way, but this sounds almost like a Springer episode. Change the circle of people you hang with if you are having porblems with it.

The closest I have ever been to your situation was dating a chronic cheater (short lived), basically broke up with her before we got to the 'gift' giving stage. I mean as if!
