I still say I wouldn't act like that around a girl unless I really wanted her. But if he's got personal issues, he might be afraid of causing some really bad shit down the road if he succumbs now.

Nice...seems he's still getting through some issues, but seems to be comfortable around you.

It's looking he's going for it a bit slow, so he doesn't make in his eyes a screw-up.

I've a feeling he's going to get over his personal issues with rather more alacrity than he would without you around. You know, that thing about meeting someone helping him get over his previous relationship, and that someone most definitely being you...

I don't think we need to fear what I mentioned over PM. He's yours for the taking, but just scared of screwing up like Mike said. He'll get over it, and if I was a betting man, I'd say it'll happen before the month's out. Good luck, girl!

Yes, that's exactly what he thinks. When we talked about my feelings for him, he said, "I always end up fucking things up more than I think is even possible, and I just can't do that to you" about five or six times. I don't know the specifics of what's happened with his past relationships, but I know that he's dated two friends and it's turned out very badly, and whenever he'd allude to them in conversation, he'd say "I won't do that to you, I just won't" or something like that.

Basically, my plan is to be patient, remain his friend, but also flirt so that he knows that I haven't changed my mind about him. Sound good?
