Freddy vs Jason site up.

Well, few to most of us knew this movie was coming, and maybe some info about it. They changed the guy(Kane Hodder who's been Jason since like 4 to Ken Kirzinger) who's playing Jason, some thought a more scrawny Jason to give Freddy a chance, but this guy dwarfs Freddy, so it was for some other reason. Also Freddy looks like he's in a store bought mask(lime green glove, ick). And apparently no one saw the awsome fan made poster for the movie with the phrase:

One, Two, Freddy's comin' for you,
Three, Four, Jason's at your door.

But it is still an early poster. Oh well, I'll see it despite how much it'll suck. The only hope for this is that the script was rewritten by the guy who did Blade.

oh god Ken Kirzinger is fucking terrible. I seriously cannot believe they got rid of Kane Hodder for this guy. I refuse to call him Jason. From now on I shall refer to him as 'poser with a hockey mask.'

About a minute of footage of him not really doing anyhting is a real accurate judge of how he does in non-speaking part with his face covered.

It's just because Kane Hodder has sort of a cult following for his part as Jason. I wonder why he's not in it...

Anyway, how is Freddy going to beat Jason? Jason might as well be from the planet Krypton! The dude is freggin' invulnerable!

Does that mean you hate all hockey players too that aren't Kane Hodder ?

What I heard on Cinescape (the authority in my books) is that they wanted a more emotive actor. Although I have no clue why Jason is supposed to be emotive at all.

Jason, as far as I know, has only three strengths: 1) uber stealth (able to basically be wherever he needs to be whenever he needs to be there and move without a sound or trace), incredible strength (cleave through metal strength) and 2) uber regeneration (the implication is that a fall from high orbit won't kill him for good).

Meanwhile, Freddy in the nightmare is a demigod. The trailer demonstrates what I figure is Freddy's only real problem when he screams, "Why won't you DIE?!".

I think that three's a scene wher Freddy sends Jason a vision of his mother, and Jason responds to it. That's probably where the emotive thing comes from.

And I like Kane Hodder as much as the next guy, but he's not irreplacable.

Kane Hodder is easily the best Jason. If they absolutly had to get rid of him (they didnt, and the director is a total bitch for doing it and he also claims Bride of Chucky was the best in the series and I could go on and on about him) they should have went back to C.J. Graham from Part 6, at least then they have somebody who can play Jason as he is meant to be played. It may be a step down from Kane, but at least it's not some poser with a hockey mask getting all emotional and bullshit like that.

That brings me to another thing, that poser with a hockey mask already got his ass handed to him by Kane in part 8 when poser confronted Jason and then got thrown across the room.

Kane Hodder has been promoting Freddy Vs Jason and lobbying to get it made for the past decade. For them to throw him aside like they did is just wrong.
