SSD vs Cube
ok, i don't know if this has been said yet, but i'm a newb here so i have rights
but anypoop who would win, a super star destroyer or a cube (for size comparisons or just a really cool site go to http://mirror.wolffelaar.nl/zardalu.sytes.net/)
in my opinion, it would be the cube. the cube could very quickly adapt to the lasers of the star wars universe because they fire more like a machine gun than the phasers from star trek, which deliver a concentrated burst of energy. Also Cubes, scan and could quickly figure out what is the most vital system in the SSD and destroy it. Or it would simply destroy the shields then assimilate it. Also even if the SSD were able to severely hurt the cube, it can still function and regenerate even after 3/4 or the cube is destroyed.

See the "Stardestroyer.net" logo at the top of the page? Click that, then follow the "I Want YOU for the Galactic Empire" link. Then read extensively. Do not attempt to post unsupported claims like "the cube could very quickly adapt to the lasers of the star wars universe because they fire more like a machine gun than the phasers from star trek" until you have thoroughly digested the main site's content.xcountryman03 wrote:ok, i don't know if this has been said yet, but i'm a newb here so i have rights

i just also wanted to make a quick statement- I am not a die-hard trekkie. I'm actually a star wars fan and have been since '93. I only recently started liking star trek as well when i started watching voyager b/c i was bored (please don't flame me for that) In my personal opinion Wedge Antilles is the coolest sci-fi character ever to grace the silver screen.

the SSD could wipe out the cube with ONE SHOT, they don't even need a full broadside. anyhow as many others have said, read the site. I reccomend the essay "star wars vs. star trek in 5 minutes"xcountryman03 wrote:n my opinion, it would be the cube. the cube could very quickly adapt to the lasers of the star wars universe because they fire more like a machine gun than the phasers from star trek, which deliver a concentrated burst of energy. Re: SSD vs Cube
Wedge does rule, and the SSD wins because it has superior firepower by atleast an order of magnitude in a single gun, and has over 1000 weapons.xcountryman03 wrote:ok, i don't know if this has been said yet, but i'm a newb here so i have rights

Realistically, if they were carrying heavy cap killers, a squadron of X wings would kill a borg cube.
You sya you are a fan, I reccomend picking up a copy of SW Attack of the Clones Incredible Cross sections, either by buying it or going to the library.

Re: SSD vs Cube
This claim comes from "Best of Both Worlds" where several Federation officers were speculating about what would be needed to destroy a cube. This initial evaluation was proven wrong by ST: First Contact where minor damage no where near 3/4 of the cube caused the entire thing to explode.xcountryman03 wrote:Also even if the SSD were able to severely hurt the cube, it can still function and regenerate even after 3/4 or the cube is destroyed.

Thats OK. You admitted you were hasty in your initial post but my questions were about you understanding where the problems in your logic were. I'm not trying to flame you or give you greif or anything. I just want you to understand these discussions.
