I'd love to see a lot of the Saturday morning kid's shows from the 70's again, like Shazam!, ArkII, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters...

V miniseries were great, the series... uhhh.... hmmm....
MASH, Charlie's Angels, A-Team, and a lot of the others had pretty good production runs and quit after respectable times. It is better than dragging an ailing show out with gimmicks and prop-ups. They tried to drag out Ally MacBeal, for example, when it had already begun to sink and they should have just bowed out gracefully.

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!
Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!

MacGyver, baby. Damn I loved that show.
Anyone ever watch Hill Street Blues? I remember watching that with my dad when I was a kid... There was another show like that, but I can't remember what it was called...
Oh, I also used to watch Family Ties, He-Man, Voltron, The Smurfs, and David the Gnome!! Ahh, good times.

Shows that were before my time: Early season MASH and All In the Family are better than 90% of what's on TV today. The Honeymooners, the Dick Van Dyke Show (mmmm....Mary Tyler Moore) and I Love Lucy are pretty good, and I love Dragnet (has anyone seen the new one?)
Shows that were on when I was a kid: Married, With Children was great. I miss 80's cartoons...find me something on TV today as good as G.I. Joe. My all time favorite was Dinosaucers, which I think had maybe two seasons and it never even got a toy line (the sculptures were made and possibly the molds, but the show was cancelled before production began). Seriously, that was the best show ever: dinosaurs with spaceships and guns fighting to control the Solar System. Kickass.

Tales of the Gold Monkey! Great show, cashed in on the Indiana Jones craze, but it worked beautifully on its own.
The Muppet Show. Classic vaudeville that had something for all ages. If the kids didn't get it, the parents did.
Old cartoons: the Original Johnny Quest! The new one wasn't that bad, tho, but the CGI in that computer realm.. BLEH!
There was one Saturday morning (late 70's) cartoon.. can't recall the name of it but the hero was a schoolteacher/witch who had an owl (Arcamedes?) and was helped out by Rick Springfield. He had a new song every episode....
Oh.. capt Kangaroo

Me: Nope, that's why I have you around to tell me.
Nitram: You -are- beautiful. Anyone tries to tell you otherwise kill them.

Hell yeah, I remember that. It was playing when I was around three or four... I loved that one. I was always sad when they found another lost city of gold and had to destroy it because of the bad guys following them...innerbrat wrote:Do you mean The Mysterious Cities of Gold?

They should bring it back, with me as head writer. I could make that show kick so much ass the other cartoon makers would cry. For starters, the Secret Scouts wouldn't be the biggest pussies in the universe. Second, I'd triple the cast size, mostly by adding a bunch of minor characters, maybe with one new major on each side (the Tyrannos NEEDED a raptor of some sort, at the very least). Finally, it would be all devolvers, all the time. Yeah, it wouldn't make a lick of sense, but think of the mayhem where after a pitched battle half the cast has been devolved back into full sized, pissed off dinosaurs.Vertigo1 wrote:I LOVED THAT SHOW! Denver was okay. The pilot movie kicked ass, but the series wasn't as good as it could of been for a series that featured a dinosaur in Los Angeles.Don't forget "Denver: The Last Dinosaur".
