It was Case Western Reserve University, a private college in my backyard. While I am not totally surprised at university violence (I went to Ohio State and lived two blocks away from the riots in '00-'01) this is something a bit unheard of in Ohio since '68. I will admit, that building is one of the ugliest buildings I have ever seen and makes the Brutalist fortress-style buildings at CSU look downright inviting. I may not go to Case Western, but I must applaud Shep's total mastery of sensitivity in making a title. "Some Ohio university," nice.

What else do you expect? He lives in Maryland.
We're (I'm in Indiana) in 'flyover country' to him.

However, I have the sneaking suspicion that Shep would be happier living out here with us, if for no other reason than our gun laws are much better than the ones in MD.

I'll agree with that part, at least. Reminds me of an AIM conversation I had with Shep concerning the setting of the game Fallout, arguing whether or not the state of Iowa would have a stronger military presence (in terms of number and size of bases) than Washington DC. His argument was that Washington was 'just a city', while Iowa was a 'whole state'. Yeah right, a whole state with a smaller population than just a city, which happens to be the nation's capitol.

Never the mind the fact my whole point was that Iowa would have less miliatry bases to explore post-war than California and the 2-4 bases it had still in existance. It's like trying to discuss things with a giant, crimson fish some days.
