Editing Arcade ROMs
Alright guys, what is the best arcade editing program? Specifically, one that can edit games like Mortal Kombat. I'm trying to create a make a better Mortal Kombat Trilogy, one that uses the MKII game engine and gives bosses fatalities.
Good; I was under the impression that you thought that a seperate processor to run the ROM, and I somewhat sarcastically suggested that you use MAME to get MK running. Anyways, you're saying that it's hard as fuck to reprogram it? Nuts, I really wanted to create a better MK Trlilogy. Oh well, thanks for you time.phongn wrote:MAME is an emulation system, not a processor.

It's alot easier to own the game than most people think, and get it for cheap, too. Look on Ebay for the circuit boards; they can run for twenty dollars sometimes. BTW, thank you for unlocking this Lagomonster; however, I think that you can lock this up again. I did get my answer about editing the ROM; too hard and it's not really worth the effort for me. I just wanted Lagomonster (and everyone else) to know that ROMs are legal under certain situations.
