DS, do you really think Wong not adding "You fucking idiot" or "I've already fucking responded to that, change your fucking ideas or respond to mine you ignorant little bitch" will make your points seem anymore valid. Wong doesn't just reply with an insult unless someones responding with a point he's already demolished. He just adds that on to things when the idiot he's debating has stated something that really is stupid. Crap is crap, it doesn't matter if you call it shit, it's still the same thing.

I think he's trying to make it seem like he challenged Mike, and then Mike had to respond to his challenge. It's really just bravado and chest beating on his part. Mike'll mop the floor with him, regardless of which one challenged which.

Incidentally, DarkStar shows absolutely no reluctance to challenge people like me or Sir Nitram to debates. When he starts threads or posts ideas, he knows that he will be flamed by us, eventually. He is clearly not afraid of debating people who flame him. He is clearly afraid of debating Wong, but not because Wong will flame him but because he knows that Wong is smarter than he is and is better at debating and is more knowledgeable than he is about the subject.

Incidentally, DarkStar, in order for someone to take me up on my offer, they did not have to believe that you were right. They did not even have to believe that you were right on ANY point. All they had to do was:

1. Be a non-biased, third party observer to the debate.
2. Believe that there was still reasonable doubt on some of my points. In other words, they had to believe that you had not yet been utterly crushed.

The fact that NO ONE took me up on my offer is indicative of the fact that you are a lousy debater. It says that you failed to convince ANYONE that even a possibility existed that I was wrong during that little chit chat we had. Note that this was harder than a trial by jury for several reasons.

1. I had to demonstrate to everyone's satisfaction that you were wrong on nearly every point. In a trial, usually the prosecution need only prove a defendant guilty on a single charge, or on related charges pertaining to a single incident. Only in rare cases must a jury be convinced of a defendant's guilt on a variety of unrelated charges.
2. I had to prove this to more than 12 people who were not in communication with one another. In a trial by jury, if 11 jurors are convinced of a defendant's guilt, they can sometimes convince the 12th to follow them in voting guilty.

The fact that I was able to show this on both cases does not mean that I am obssessed with having lots of people follow me. I was showing that you had failed to convince ANYONE that you were even remotely right on that thread. If you were truly a God of debate (or half as good as you sometimes boast), then wouldn't you think it odd that no one even believed you had instilled reasonable doubt?

I would also point out Wong that Darkstar didnt hijack the thread It was either me (for responding to KAN), KAN for asking me a question based upon another thread or several others who responded to what I said about the other thread when I asked them to take response to the other thread (this group includes Darkstar).

To see evidence of what I said just look at MOO first few post about the Borg shield he concentrates on a non issue (he admits he got sidetracked) and then believes (because he wasnt keeping up on the debate but also because of how DS worded his site) he has defeated DS main point when he has infact not.

This sort of thing often happens in regards to DS's posts however if you wish to believe that the man putting forward the theory/evidence is more importnat that the evidence itself then you are free to do so but dont expect me to agree with that .

Thats the difference here alot of people just dismiss him out of hand but I actually obsevre what he has to say and judge it on that basis, you ahve seen me blast himn and seen me agree with him - I wish everyone got a little bit more objectivity (some pro wars debators have defended his theories but most people open with the flames from he get go).

I've debated him too, and whenever I had him pinned down he didn't respond until I called him on it and then he just said he had beaten me, and so it started again over and over, thats every last debate so far.

And I got shitloads more experience with him than you, esp. in ASVS, I know what he is, he is an inexact Timothy Jones clone.

And he's done nothing to deserve any more leniency, he's been given it, in spades upon spades, he trolled and flamed at ASVS, then he did it here, he's just been acting superior here so he could pretend to take the high ground by baiting others, in the core, he's still the same old troll he was when he posted as G2k.

People defending him obviously doesn't know who or what they are defending.

In my experience, Darkling is one of the most intelligent Trekkie debaters here, and is certainly more reasonable than many others. But he is biased, so are we ofcourse, we're all biased here, but thats besides the point.

I believe he is being too lenient on DS, one reason is likely for being a fellow trekkie, warsie debaters have been known to do the same too, ofcourse I also believe it is because he does not have a good grasp of who DarkStar truly is, it's like defending some unknown guy, trying to be a nice guy essentially.
Nothing wrong with trying to be nice, but it seems a bit misdirected, good at heart though, if you get my point.

I realize it's hard to accurately convey this through text or even verbal means so misconceptions might be likely, but I mean no disrespect to Darkling.
