Ow... ow... ow... Linkin Park...

Post by Crayz9000 »

After hearing that Linkin Park was horrible live, I decided to check it out for myself by looking it up on Gnutella.

There was a total of a dozen live songs available. Hmm...

Then I downloaded the song. Big mistake of the month. I can now understand why some people have such a livid hatred of Linkin Park; if you think I'm shitting you, then click here.

Goddamnit man, don't do that.

We all know that Linkin Park sucks, even when they AREN'T live.

Here I was thinking that you'd stumbled across "Shatner - the Karaoke Years".

I was just indifferent to them before this. However, now I am in full agreement with you guys about them...

As much as it wasn't particuarly good, i.e. out of time, singing flat etc...there is plenty of worse "music" out there. Limp Bizcut is by far a much worse abomination that Linkin Park.

*plays "Dream Theater: The Glass Prison" to clense mind. hmmm. 14 minute track*

MUST a band be judged SOLELY on their live music?

Actually, I think yes. Because I think that in the studio almost anybody can be made to sound at least decent. It's live acts that musicians can be judged upon whether or not they can perform their music for real.

I don't care, i like Linkin Park. Sure they don't sound quite the same live, most bands that rely so much on DJ's and electronica don't sound good live with the only real exception of Nine Inch Nails. You can bitch and moan all night about how they suck and how you don't like them. Crying about it won't change their music or the opinion of their fans. Get over it.

That doesn't mean that their studio music doesn't suck. As long as it sounds decent, I don't have to see them live if I know they're going to suck. I PLAN on going to go see Godsmack next month because I LOVE Godsmack. I PLAN on going to Ozzfest in July because (A) it's two days before my birthday, (B) it's OZZFEST, and (C) Lots of other bands I like will be there, but most importantly, (D) IT'S FUCKIN' OZZFEST!!

Linkin Park makes the shittiest useless talentless mindnumbingly stupid music on the face of the planet. And their live shit is just plain garbage, by any real standards other then "i like it" which usually comes from hearing it so much.

Most bands nowadays sound worse live than on record, mainly due to studio manipulation. However some do sound good, even better, when live, such as Meatloaf! When he played Millenium Square i was out side with hundreds of other people looking over the fence adn by god did he ROCK!
