Stupid idea...

Assuming that all nations are changed by act of (insert deity here) to have the same population, military, resources, land area etc etc etc, but retain their mode of governance and all culture....

Which nation(s) would rise to prominance?

They retain their mode of governance and culture. Thus they surrender in 6 weeks or less :D

I'd say the winner would be whoever could best manage their army, which could be determined by studying their histories of military victories and defeats, something I'm too lazy to do.

And, are the technology levels equal, as well?

The world would be swiftly destroyed by massive wars.

Well, isn't that the point? The world being destroyed and only one superpower remaining?

And, I've decided on a winner: Switzerland. They've been neutral during wars for a long time, and I'm sure they're going to stay neutral as the rest of the world kills itself.

Well, New Zealand wins hands down if we use this reasoning.

Nope, Switzerland joined the UN in 2002. There neutrality is at an end.

Last time I checked the UN wasn't a military alliance.

Nutrality does not nessiraly end with joining the UN. What counts is your actions.

It might as well be, and it directly ties Switzerland to its actions. Anyway, I'd go by what Switzerland its self-thinks, and the main opposition against joining the UN in that country was that it would end the nations neutrality.
