My Uncle is a salesman. He tells me everything is about sales. You have to sell your self.
He also says you can't take "NO" personaly. Even if you'r selling your self. You are just not the "flavour" they want.
Don't worry, your are someones favourite flavour, they just haven't tasted you yet.(get your mind out of the gutter, we are talking personality here, heh heh!) Ain't no cup so crooked there ain't a saucer to match!
Most importantly, he said that if he doesn't recieve 20 "NO"s in a day, he isn't doing his job.
Walk on up, make your pitch, ACT like you expect a yes, and expect a no.
When you get your yes, (after all, they ARE there to dance, just like you!)
your face will naturaly light up, making the other person feel even better than you ASKING made them feel.
I alway hit on the hot ones first. Why? Unless they are so stuck up that a "no" is a blessing, the hottest one usualy get the LEAST asks, from intimidation factor!
Try and see it from THEIR point of view. With the previous exception in mind, the hottest one are often the lonliest ones.
Only their bodies are hot. The mind inside is most likely just like you.
Set yourself a goal. Ask 10 girls. (from different parts of the room, working the line makes them feel like a number.)
Clue. You are self consious, worried about what the others in room think of you.
Get over yourself. You realy don't matter that much to THEM, as they don't KNOW you! (YET!) EVERYONE in that room is worrying about what the others are thinking of THEM, just like YOU!
Only people that know you, realy care about you. So get to know some.
