Casting call 'To Kill a Mockingbird'

Post by HemlockGrey »

In order to help us gain a more perfect understanding of this classic, our English teacher has assigned us a task inconcievable in its stupidity- we are to cast the roles in 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and then make a movie poster. The poster I did, but I need help thinking of good actors. Serious suggestions are appreciated.

So a list of well-known porno actors wouldn't be appreciated?

(oh come on, at least you'd know nobody else would have duplicated your ideas)

Sean Connery? As who?

Denzel Washington I was thinking about, good choice. I've also got Adam Sandler for Bob Ewell.

Tell your teacher that they're an idiot for giving the class such a non-productive and totally worthless assignment.

Transpose the cast of Star Wars, submit a photoshopped SW poster print out. All good. Mark Hamill would make a great Scout, don't you think? David Prowse would be Atticus and James Earl Jones would be his voice... Seriously, this is a million dollar idea.

Not Denzel.

It's been a while since I read the book, but I'd suggest Morgan Freeman, or possibly that guy from The Green Mile.

Actually, scrap that, that's typecasting

Morgan Freeman is wrong for the part- he's a pensioner. The condemned is supposed to be young/strong (with the exception of his mangled arm), that's why the daughter went after him and started the whole sordid affair.

Kevin Spacey
Ed Harris
William Hurt

Ving Rhames
Ice Cube

You can always look for more ideas at IMDM.com.

Right. Told you it had been a while.

In which case, what about Cuba Gooding Jr?

I'm trying to think of appropriate child actors, and drawing a blank..

Wow, that's incredibly stupid. I suggest you switch the skin color of all characters.
