AotC Asteroids and funny rumor..

Post by Coyote »

I dunno if this has been discussed (I poked around a bit, on th efirst page) but I heard a strange rumor today and I was wondering if anyone else had heard it or even can confirm it.

Okay, remember Attack of the Clones on Naboo, the bloated cow-creatures that Anakin was riding, and got bucked off of?

Well, supposedl, in the Geonosian asteroid field, at some point during the Obi-Wan/Jango Fett battle, one of the "asteroids" is one of those cow-creatures, floating around out there!

I watched my copy but I am a Cro-Magnon VCR user, and my attempts to pause and observe becomes an excersize in fuzziness. Has anyone else heard of this, or is it BS?
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!

I believe someone in the commentary on the AOTC dvd actually points out that one was in there.

Its in there , but you need the widescreen DVD version(Pan and Scan will chop it off), or the widescreen VHS and a kickass VCR to see it.

I've spotted it. But its not real easy to see. Much like the X-wing and Tie fighters where a little more then blobs even on a 24 inch TV.

Well, there was also a rumor that a shoe was hidden in the asteroid field in TESB. Is that true too?

Also, are there any pictures of this floating around online? I have the DVD, I'll try looking for it if there aren't.

the shoe(a grey Converse 'Chuck Taylor' to be specific) easter egg is one of the more persistant ones, I've heard that it is in both the ESB asteroid field, as well as being one of the Rebel cruisers in the 'Falcon flyby sequence in RotJ just before the Ackbar orders the fleet into hyperspace. I've never seen the one in ESB , but I 'think' and I stress think, I've seen the shoe as part of the fleet at Sullust, but I only ever saw it on an old laser-disc version, and have never been able to see it on the VHS versions. Add in that at the time I was severly hammered on Jagermeister and I cannot accuratly tell you I saw it for sure.....

Nope!

That's just partly true!

The flying Converse can be seen at only Sullust.

The only strange object in the asteroid field - in TESB - is a potatoe.

What you can't see is the poster of a playmate hanged on the wall in the bridge of the Tantive IV but it's there.

BTW someone tell me exactly where is those damned ties and the X-wing in AotC? I know it's somewhere in the chase part but where?

What'll REALLY blow your mind is the second stormtrooper on the grassy knoll that shot Princess Leia in ROTJ...

that second stormie was a actually a clonetrooper in full AoTc armor is the scary part.

I've seen the shoe in the ESB asteroid field. It flies toward the camera relatively early in the sequence.

And as far as I can tell, the other damn shoe in the ROTJ Rebel Fleet doesn't exist.

Cool, seeing as I've got a 30 inch screen (yes, I brag, but only cos I paid for it myself) I shall be looking for it later on today. Anyone wanna give me a time reference on where to look for it? If not, nevermind, I have day after day to waste, or else I wouldn't be on here.

The only actual Stormie 'egg' in RotJ is the helmetless trooper standing around when the Rebels are rounding up the Imps.

That's why he's standing around with the Imperials with his hands on his head. :P

There's actually a funny story I recall that was about the helmetless trooper, but I don't know if it's true...
