I have just had a quick look through the web and have found that you can get various B5 Mods for Homeworld. if you want to check this then go to Google and type B5 Mods and you should get a few.

I'm sure that you can get mods for I-war and I-war 2 that allow you to fly the B5 ships such as the whitestar and the starfury.

The Babylon Project for Freespace 2

I have not yet tested their newest release, but the first one had so authentic B5 atmosphere that I completely forgot that I was playing an "amateur" mod.

Well, if that is the case then buy Freespace 2! That game alone has enough B5 like feeling so you won't be missing any B5 mods.Darksider wrote:That sounds cool. Unfortunatly I don't have Freespace 2, only the first one

Especially considering that they released the source code to the public. The next line of mods are gonna rock!
Yeah, basically if you're gonna find it, it's somewhere connected to firstones.com.
you might want to play the homeplanet demo, as it uses the same engine as I Found Her will.

edit: mentioned abandonware site is Home of the Underdogs.

Freespace 2 at The Underdogs
The small file size scares me. It says that it is a CD rip with ending animations included. This means that all those great cinematics (remember the one that introduced Colossus?) and beautiful music are gone. If you can somehow get your hands on the real version then buy it!

No music or cinematics?...that's half the game!
the original freespace campaign you can get for freespace 2 is amazing....it gives you the option to port all the old sounds and the like across if you actually owned the game but couldn't play it due to xp..(like me )
I'm sure with the aid of some other program and a little jiggerypokery...one could find the music and movies...just takes a little looking with our god google

I fell in love with Freespace 2 the moment I played its demo for the first time. I bought the full game the day it was released here and played it almost non-stop until the magnificent ending was over. Sadly, I have never seen the first Freespace anywhere in stores. I would probably still buy it if I saw it somewhere... What exactly is this original Freespace campaign for FS2 thingie?

Scroll down to "The Great War"(freespace port project)
Without the originals...it'll feel a little less like the original...and you'll have to be careful about installing it....it can mess about with freespace's configs and screw up the main campaign...but it's damn good fun fighting without shields
