Oh hell yeah, I was an avid fan of both the mini-series and the fairly short lived TV show. The still get a stiffy for Diana(can't for the life of me remember her real name  ) , the evil bitch Visitor Second in Command. To bad much of the shows political subtext was lost in the sci-fi buzz that surrounded the show.

The actress who played Diana was Jane Badler. 8)

There was a cartoon when I was in high school during the 80's that I thought was cool , but I dont think it made it past the first season. It was on during the weekdays at like 8.30am when every kid was in school.

It was called Galaxy Rangers and mixed in a little bit of CGI. At the time that was pretty amazing.

Also, anyone remember another cartoon called Pirates of Darkwater? I think that was the name. I liked that one too.

That kinda reminds me about this show they had on, jesus, the closest I can pin it down to was 1993-1997, it was some play on the word Astronaut or something, about a ship with a small crew gets warped across the galaxy, has to get back home, picked up a local who helped them out, and for some reason there was a bad guy that was trying to get them. Had these fights between these power loader meats battletech things to fight the bad guys mecha's and they had to do it by using laser welders at max power, eventually got accually weapons with help from the local they picked up. Then it was canceled or I stoped watching, I can't remember.

I saw it for about five years on PBS before they stopped showing it.

I saw some 1970s episodes with Tom Baker some 1980s with Colin Baker and the last i saw with Sylvester McCoy.

The few I got to see were with Colin Baker. I thought the show was really kind of funny. I wish I could find it on cable somewhere.

Sadly many of the early episodes are gone forever, the BB in its infinite wisdom destroyed many of the original films and early video recordings, at the time figuring they were just rubbish and no one would ever want to see the ancient black and white episodes. Only a rare few William Hartnell(1st Doctor) and Patrick Troughton(2nd Doctor) episodes still exist.
From the Pertwee era(3rd Doctor, who is still tied with Tom Baker, 4th Doctor, as my favorite) onward the series is mostly complete , although you will pay an arm and a leg to collect them. Its great stuff and formed my own early diet of sci-fi, along with Buck Rogers, TOS Trek and "Blake's 7" another excellent late 70's era BBC sci-fi show. B7 had about the same production values as Dr Who, but the story line was far darker, good stuff.

I remember it being on Odyssey (cable channel) for a while. They probably had advertisements for videos.

Have you checked Amazon? They have everything.

No, I haven't yet, but I will. That needs to be in my collection! I wonder how many more jokes I'll get now that I'm 25 and not 10.... :D

The vulture one was named Zoar and the tank one was called Blaster. :) I wonder what do they do with the humans they digitized? Feed 'em to the Matrix or just use them to power those glowing chestplates of the bad guys?

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned SWAT.
Edit: Montcalm did. I guess he's as old or older than I am. :P

God, I loved that show back when I was 9 years old.
I even had the SWAT lunchbox. Christ only knows what that would be worth today. :(

In june, the entire first season is being released on DVD.
There's a new SWAT movie coming out and Samuel L. Jackson stars in it as Hondo.
I'd go see it for that reason alone, motherfucker.

Ah, where to start.....

Well I'll start with what others have mentioned but needs to be reitterated.

1. Muppet Show (Woka Woka Woka.)
2. Galaxy Rangers ( Cool SFX's)
3. Air Wolf (the original, a supped up lifeflight kicking ass)

Some that were not mentioned....

1. Magnum PI (come on people!)
2. Night Court ( all the way through)
3. Simon and Simon 8)
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots.
