HALO Tips Tricks and other Insanitys

Im new, Im bored and I LIKE HALO so anyways i decided to make this so those Halo players that are members of the board may post tips and tricks and other such things like tactics.

Please feel free to post any thing about the X-Box game Halo.

Yesterday a few friends of mine had a gathering to play some X-Box games and eat pizza and such and so we where all playing Halo and anywas I made a few observations so anyways here i go

Blood Gultch- 4 players free for all kill or be killed blah anyways so ive noticed that on one of the firebases or whatever there called that on the base that doesent have the trail that leads up the the snipers nest location in the back there is a out cropping of rock that allows you to go way the hell up on the mountian side or whatever. I had time to discover this because the guy that started at the base with me didnt see me till it was to late and shot him many many times with a plasma pistol after gathering sufficient weapons * a few frag gernades a assult rifle and a sniper rifle* i run like hell to the rear thinking that i was at the base with the snipers nest in the rear but NOOOOO wrong base stupid me... So anways I go to run back and i see this angled area on the side of the mountian deal that looks like i can climb it so being me up i go and and i go high as i can making several jumps until i feel that im gonna fall and go splat if i try to go any higher.... So there im standing up on the side of the mountian zapping people with the sniper rifle and finally 2 guys respawn near my base... by then everyones pissed and looking for me but they never think to look up and im smart enough to stop shooting when there looking my way and start chunking frag gernades instead! anyways i killed a few more players then they found me and i had to charge down from the perchs and smack people around with the assult rifle until i finally die..... anyways thats my useless story hopefull some other people will find the perch on the side of the mountian deal and exploit it!

Wish I had enough people around to play 4v4 games...

Anyways, on the topic of Halo tricks:

If you fall from a high height (not so high that you die in midair, but high enough to take damage), if you crouch right at the moment you land, you won't lose any health.

Human pistol = the l33t. There are few times when you don't want to carry one.

Best multiplayer control configs:
Boxer (melee is left trigger) or Jumpy (jump is left trigger).
If you drive vehicles alot, use default controls, because with default, the brake is left trigger.

The Human pistol is an all around good weapon but it has its faults. For on it doesent carry enought ammo. My fav part about it is that when your on a field that isnt big enough for a sniper rifle but to small for a assult rifle to shoot accross accurately the pistol comes into play, it allows you to pick off a player as hes trying to get into range to nail you.

My fav part about it is that when your on a field that isnt big enough for a sniper rifle but to small for a assult rifle to shoot accross accurately the pistol comes into play, it allows you to pick off a player as hes trying to get into range to nail you.

Just snipe with it, great in smaller levels.

In Hang 'em High, I finished a 1v1v1, 20 kills limit, with pistol kills only.
