I remember Galaxy Rangers and Dark Water. I think they actually killed someone in one of the Dark Water episodes. Do any of you 80's kids remember that Rubic's Cube cartoon? Spiderman and his amazing friends, where the livingroom of their house turned into some crimefighting center and Aunt May was none the wiser? How about that cartoon about the 80's pop band (with the hair and skinny ties and everything) that got sucked into some cartoon dimension and had to find their way back? Their guide was this little fairy chick with leg-warmers. Anyone remember that 70's cartoon staring the Jackson Five?

Yes.
Spidey and Friends rocked. Remember when the Xmen stopped by?
Yes.

Yeup, Ironman (Stark) gave them the batcave...I mean Spidey lab IIRC. The Hulk was right after Sidey and friends too.

Vaugely remember the other two.

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

It went Spidey and Friends, Hulk, and The Thing. BenGrimm had been regressed to a teen, no powers, unles activated by a special set of rings.

Press the two rings together : "Thing Ring, do your Thing!" Presto! You're the Everyone's Favorite Orange Rock!

SOooooooo corny... there was even a episode where one of the two rings had been ran over by a pavement roller.. but running over it backwards returned it to normal.

I more than remember the Fantastic Four, but I do not remember that particular incarnation (thank the gods).

There were a series of cartoons of Marvel heroes where the animation was godawful, it was like a series of cut outs from the comics put in animation cells and the sound effects were goofy but as a 5 year old I LOVED them.

Each one had a unique theme.

One was Thor it went something like this : "Over the rainbow bridge of Asgard you can hear the mighty roar of the clouds and thunder its the MIGHTY THOR."

Captain America: "When Captain America throws his mighty shield...the shield the shield the shield, its red white and blue blah blah..when Captain America throws his mighty shield."

Iron man: *cue cool jazzy music.* "Tony Stark he's the coolest cat you'll ever see and Iron Man he's blah blah he fight and he fights with repulsor rays, amazing armor its Iron Man, a blazin' armor it's Iron Man."

Namor: "Lord Namor of Atlantis is the Prince of the deep."

They were so frickin awesome. They had a Hulk one but I don't remember a single line from the theme song.

There was also the Batman and Robin hour, the Tarzan half hour that came on before Batman and Robin. They were on CBS in NYC. Christ back when Saturday morning cartoons meant something and were actually GOOD.

More recently there were quite a few shows I wish had not been cancelled. I can't believe no one has mentioned: Space: Above and Beyond. The theme song still sends shivers up my spine.

And American Gothic. Creepy and there was such a mystery there that I really wanted to get to the bottom of. I'm sure the sheriff was Satan but sometimes they would throw doubts out there. "Someone's at the Door."

And lets not forget the Shazam/Isis show.

"Oh, Mighty Isis" :)

Or Emergency, Police Story, or The Rookies.
The 70's had some decent cop shows.

I love Space:AB...and ah yes old Marvel cartoons...god when I was little.

Nowadays searching for action cartoons is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

I think they still show those Marvel cartoons up here on The Cartoon Network.

I always thought the best part of Space: Above and Beyond was when the one character was imitating the Lieutenant, only as if he were a plumber.

"Doc Bruce Banner, belted by gamma rays, tuned into the Hulk..yadadadada

I only remember the Captain America one completely...
When Captain America throws his mighty shield. All those who oppose his shield must yield. When it comes to a fight and the duel is due, and the red and the white and blue comes through..when Captain America throws his mighty shield! "
