Thanks, I knew about Kyle from JK through to JK2 (Cool games!) but I unfortunately never had the chance to play Dark Forces 1. What's the connection with the Dark Troopers, exactly?

Various Alliance intelligence leads them to put Kyle on the trail to gather info, then later to sabotage their production. The Empire gives them away with a somewhat brazen attack on a Rebel base, that wipes them out (they leave behind a broken DT weapon... too big for a human to use).
