It isn't just the two wackos. It's the much larger number of wackos who stick up for them, make excuses for them, etc. Apparently, if they do it because they think God told them to, they're tragic victims. If they do it for any other reason, they're evil.
Hey look at this way... at least you know who the morons are ;)

Thats the thing about freedom of speech... yeah people are going to say stupid and moronic things... but that helps you choose who is the fool and who isn't....

I don't remember Christian leaders defending Yates on any religious grounds. The sympathy she got was entirely from Katie Couric and her ilk- those who saw Yates as some kind of victim. Which she may have been on some level. Regardless, I don't recall any religious apologists.

[edit] for those that don't know what i'm talking about Yates had been commited before b/c of the psychological tramau that childbirth had given her... the dr's told them that she shouldn't have any more babies but that prick kept her squirting them out...

Maybe god doesnt just get off on the faith of almost sacrificing your own kids to him anymore, and he's needing the blood again.

Hey, it takes two to tango.

But only one to Macarena.

I don't quite know what that means.

I think I can sum this up in two sentences...

If "God" tells you to do something you know is wrong, DON'T DO IT.
If you can't tell the difference between right and wrong, I have no comment.

I say, fine, lets try god and every church that believes in that god for murder (the churches as an accomplice, god for "conspiracy to commit murder" and finally the woman for actually committing the murder) I want a warrant for the arrest of god in every post office and every church charged with being accomplices. He wants to tell his followers to murder, the law should stand up and be enforced for all participants, not just the corporeal ones.
This reminds me of an Ally McBeal episode where there was a kid who wanted to sue God because he had cancer or lukemia or something. I forget if he won or not.

But that idea is absurd. Because then we'd have to sue God for letting people die, arrest him for bioterrorism because of diseases... and even if somehow we could get him in jail, do you know how much crime would be committed after his arrest? Think about it: You'd finally get a chance to kick God's ass prison-style, and all you have to do is get thrown in jail. Who wouldn't take that opportunity?!

Yeah, next time i commit a crime i'll blame it on NapoleonGH and since i would never ever lie about it, i must be telling the truth

I have an alibi, and when dealing with real humans you can actually establish whether there was ever contact between people etc. but god you know he comes and speaks to people with no warning and no way of making sure of it. if paul spoke to jesus after he died on the cross, how do we know this woman didnt?

Even better, follow these words:

If you are talking to God, you are praying. If God is talking to you, you are hallucinating.

of as dogma put it.

Any lunie whose claimed to have been talking to god was either talking to me, or himself. (this was said by the Metatron, the angel that serves as the "voice" of god)
