The End is Nigh!

Post by Cromag »

Holy F'ing Shite!

I know all y'all probably don't remember my post awhile back about one of the guests on my favorite morning radio talk show, but there's been something of an horrific update.

The nutcase in question runs a site called zetatalk.com where she passes along predictions she gets from an alien race regarding all sorts of things. The most meaningful thing, which I addressed last time, was how the world is going to end in, oh, a matter of a couple of days now.

I thought she was just a run of the mill looney, but no, she turns out to be something of a deranged one, to put it mildly. Follow the link and then click on the streaming audio for Planet X is going to destroy the Earth!

The bit I'm referring to is towards the end, but hopefully you'll find the first part entertaining enough to get to the really disturbing bit. Let's just say that if you're an animal lover, you're going to be appalled.

UNSUBSTANTIATED CLAIM!

Post by Cthulhu-chan »

Bah. Planet X is old news. Those guys have had it out for us since, like, the 50's or something. What we really need to look out for are the molemen. Their on the same goddamn planet, ferchrissakes!

I'm guessing that you didn't listen to the audio. I know that Planet X is old hat, I brought up this nutcase because of one of her responses to a question put to her by one of the hosts regarding a bit of advice that she gave to people about how to prepare for the coming apocalypse.

Ugh, I Guess I Shoulda Got the Link Right...

Sorry, when you follow that link, first you have to click on "Sights and Sounds" under the Kevin & Bean section, then follow the link for the Planet X audio file.

Sorry Cromag, I don't have the patience with my shitty dial-up connection for audio, or more painfully, video.

But what I really wanted to say is that is one of my ALL TIME favorite lines in your sig! Congratulations on your good taste! :D

Holy shit, this is the first date-omplied prophesy I've ever seen that actually holds to the same date given quite some time ago (like a year.) I remember reading on a site that specialized in nutcase theories like this that said it would come in mid-May 2003. Well, that's pretty consistent, don't you think?

Then if it doesn't happen they'll simply move the date to Dec. 26th, 2012 which is like the Y2K celebration for nutcases and Mayan astrology enthusiasts.
...This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old...ultraviolence.

Well, if they're first prediction of Planet X destroying the earth was wrong, they're probaly just going to say it will hit some other year, just like the Apocalypse people have set several dates for the rapture that ended up being wrong.

Did any of you catch the bit about "Puppy Lake"?

Frank, thanks! That movie is one of my all-time favorites and that line is one of the classics.

Ah yes, another consideration I forgot to make, my apologies.

The interesting bit at the end is her talking about "Puppy Lake". Basically, she's advised everyone to take their pets and drown them before the apocalypse so that they don't have to live in a world without their masters, possibly hunted down by desperate survivors.

The truly frightening bit is that she admits to practicing what she preaches. Though, she didn't drown her dog, an 18 mo. old lab, IIRC, she had the poor pup put to sleep. :x

If anyone needed to be put down before this "apocalypse", it's her.

Actually, Bean admitted to making up the part about Puppy Lake on the spot, IIRC... what's sad is that she took it and ran with it.

Sick, dirty whore!

Now, about thirteen years or so ago, flyers started appearing around Dallas(IIRC), saying that such and such group was going to protest such and such policy by DROWNING THEIR PETS! The media showed up at the appointed time, the animal rights activists showed up, but the wily pranksters who started this whole thing did not!

That was a classic.

This looney whore is not, however.
